About It s Raining Cats & Dogs! & It s Raining Cats & Dogs! Every October, hosts an exquisite event complete with chef tastings, live entertainment, Master of Ceremonies, NBC5 s Andy Avalos, and of course, our furry residents. This event is made possible with the generous support of our caring sponsors. It s Raining Cats & Dogs! is our largest annual fundraiser. Sponsors receive great benefits for supporting the event, the best of which is helping the animals. As a sponsor, you will benefit from the following: Access to our diverse demographic in terms of gender, age, ethnicity, education and income Exposure in our e-newsletter which reaches over 25,000 recipients Inclusion in our social networking initiatives; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr, where we have over 20,000 followers combined Recognition in our Annual Report which reaches 50,000 supporters and is included on our website Inclusion in all printed materials regarding this event (prior to August 1) including our invitation that we mail to 3,500 affluent households Logo promotion on the It s Raining Cats & Dogs! website is a 501(c)(3) private non profit humane society founded in 1899 by Rose Fay Thomas to help working horses and children being abused and exploited for labor in the city. Our focus has changed over the years to companion animals, but our commitment to caring for the animals and the community remains stronger than ever. Our doors are open 365 days a year for any animal in need without time or space limits. Our mission of building a community of caring by helping pets and educating people is accomplished through comprehensive programs and services that help over 50,000 animals and humans every year and include: cat and dog adoptions, low or no cost spay/neuter clinic (open to the public), charity veterinary clinic, three rehabilitation and treatment centers, cruelty and neglect investigations and rescue, humane education (including an anti-violence, after school program for at-risk, high school children, dog training classes, free behavior hotline and S.A.F.E. (shortterm accommodations for emergencies) program which provides temporary housing for pets whose owners are involved in an emergency crisis situation such as domestic violence, fire, flood, illness or foreclosure. Unfortunately, I am unable to participate in this year s event, but would like to donate a package for the silent auction. (please see the back of this packet for donation forms) The following information is requested for invitation, program and event publicity purposes. Please print clearly. You will be contacted shortly to discuss your tasting fare. A brief bio and photo will also be requested from you at a later date. Participant Agreement The chef/establishment agrees to provide the following: Prepare and serve one or two sample size specialty dishes that will each serve 500 guests. All equipment needed for serving (in order to control excess heat from chafing dishes and other flame type heating, please use Choice Heat, a liquid heat with wick.) Arrive at least one hour before event for set-up (6 p.m.) and remain present for the entire event. Permission for to use chef s name and restaurant in all print materials used in conjunction with the event. Inclusion in press releases and press kit. Listing in all printed materials distributed in conjunction with the event, including our invitation which we send out to over 5,000 affluent households. Deadlines must be met to be included. A full page ad in event program. Chef is responsible for providing the biography, photo and package description by September 5th. Recognition in s Annual Report which is mailed to 50,000 supporters. An individually draped 6 foot table, a 6 foot prep table, serving plates, linens, utensils and signage featuring the name of the chef and the restaurant.
