Partner With Thousands of Local Volunteers Over the last seven years, thousands of volunteers from the Placer/Sacramento area have come together to pack more than 3.4 million meals to feed malnourished children around the world. While we don t know where meals packed will go before they are packed, we always know they will go to children in need. In past years, our meals have been sent to countries in Asia, Central America and the Caribbean - including to the the Philippines following a devastating typhoon. While the impact of this effort is global, it is also local as well. The Feed My Starving Children MobilePack gives local volunteers a hands-on opportunity to better understand the global hunger crisis and make a difference in the lives of children worldwide. It s also a great team-building activity for any organization. Feed My Starving Children is a highly rated, 501(c)3 charity where 92% of all donations go directly toward packing and distribution of these meals. For three days in October 2017, area volunteers will pack hundreds of thousands of meals in our eighth year as a meal packing site. The volunteers come in all ages and walks church groups, neighborhoods, corporate teams and sports teams all working together to pack meals in a unique assembly line fashion. While the volunteers are critical to our success we also need financial partners. The MobilePack effort is funded by the community, with each meal costing just 22 cents. If we raise $110,000, for example, we would be able to pack 500,000 meals. We invite you to join this effort as a partner.
