EXECUTIVE SUMMARY YOUR COMPANY HEIDARY HEALTH INDEX SCORE (HHI) HHI RESULT: 85% NEEDS WORK THE HEALTH OF YOUR COMPANY DEPENDS ON THE HEALTH OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. Your HHI Score (Heidary Health Index Score) is an aggregate of all of your company s test data. It can be used as a gauge of your company s overall health and creates a benchmark to work from in the coming years. Our HHI allows companies to measure the effectiveness of the company wellness initiatives they put into place. Your HHI is calculated from three categories of testing: 1. Medical - Includes blood tests and biometric results 2. Lifestyle - Includes current lifestyle habits 3. Corporate Wellness - Includes company morale and various corporate identifiers On the following pages you will find a snapshot summary of all of your company s test scores, succeeded by a breakdown of your company's overall results for each test considered in calculating your HHI. This information gives you a clear understanding of your company's health and exactly where you can make adjustments to improve your HHI. Your company s results become a point of measure for you in the future and a guide as to what kinds of wellness initiatives will have the most impact on reducing costs. After all of your results are demonstrated and explained, you will find our recommendations to help you get your company s health back on track. 1

TOTAL CHOLESTEROL RESULT: 83% NEEDS WORK YOUR COMPANY GOAL: ACHIEVE A TOTAL CHOLESTEROL RESULT OF 90% OR ABOVE Total cholesterol measures the amount of HDL, LDL, and triglyceride fats that circulate in the blood. Although some cholesterol is necessary for good health, too much can clog arteries and lead to heart disease. Blood cholesterol is a significant indicator of heart disease risk. Heart disease is one of the most prevalent chronic illnesses. Once the problem is severe enough, medication is required for the rest of an employee s life and the risk of heart attack and stroke increases. EFFECTS OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL: Arterial Blockage Too much cholesterol can cause a build-up on arterial walls, hardens and becomes inflexible. The formation of this plaque narrows the passageways through which blood flows and leads to an inability of the blood vessels to completely constrict and dilate. Heart Disease The obstruction of the arteries that supply the heart with blood can result in excessive sweating, shortness of breath, chest, abdominal, neck, back, jaw and arm pain. A heart attack occurs when a lack of blood supply causes the heart muscle to die or be permanently damaged. Stroke If the arteries that supply blood to the brain have become narrowed, mini-strokes can occur as a result of interruption in blood supply. A stroke can occur when the blood supply stops completely. RECOMMENDATIONS TO LOWER COMPANY TOTAL CHOLESTEROL: Introduce programs that encourage employees to change the lifestyle factors that are linked to elevated total cholesterol. Focus on the following areas to target total cholesterol: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Increasing physical activity Maintaining a healthy weight (Low BMI) Eating a diet low in saturated fat & cholesterol, high in healthy fats Limiting use of alcohol Eliminating the use of tobacco related products 4
