Sensazione: the continual refinement of the senses People process the world in mostly one or more primary sense and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) offers a tool to heighten the awareness of our senses. The following assessment tool takes a look at which primary sense you engage in or perhaps you have already a balanced usage of a the following six senses. Visual People with a visual primary sense, will tend to: Use visualization easily Speak faster than the general population. Want to see or be shown concepts, ideas or how something is done. Want to see the big picture. Auditory People with an auditory primary sense, will tend to: Be more aware of subtle change in the tone of voice and sensitive to certain tones of voice. Learn by listening. Talk through problems rather than communicating by written word. Be easily distracted by noise. Kinesthetic People with a kinesthetic primary sense, will tend to: Speak slower than the general population. Be more sensitive to their bodies and their feelings and somatic feelings in the body. Learn by activating body in doing, moving or aware of the `feel`` of the surfaces that surround them. Make decisions based on their gut feeling.

Auditory digital People with an auditory digital primary sense, will tend to: Have a need to make sense of the world, to figure things out, to understand. Engage in internal ``self-talk`` to figure things out. Be reflective and take time to think things through. Have logic play a key role in the decision process as do facts and figures. The other two senses, gustatory (taste) and olfactory (smell), which are closely associated, often seem to be less significant in general mental processing, and are often considered jointly as one You've probably heard people say things like "I see what you mean," or "I hear what you are saying." These are not just cute euphemisms, but insights into how that person's mind is working. Once you know someone's primary representational system, you can speak in a way that's pleasing to- and gains rapport with their unconscious mind. Learn your own primary representational system This exercise will help you to move continually refine your senses. Da Vinci states `` The five senses are the ministers of the soul`` Answer each of the following statements. Place a number next to every phrase. Use the following system to indicate your preferences: The following assessment is not fully definitive as there are only 12 test questions and your preferred representational system may change over time or in different contexts. In general, one representational system is not better than another. If you score low on one or more of the systems, you may wish to get curious and explore how this is affecting your life experiences. Have fun with this assessment and I hope it provides you with additional insight on how you prefer to communicate with others
