Under the High Patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers His Excellency Mr. Tammam Salam CME CREDITS PROGRAM 29-30 May, 2015 Four Seasons Hotel - Beirut, Lebanon

Dear Colleagues, It is my privilege and pleasure to announce the 23 rd Annual Meeting of the Lebanese Ophthalmological Society which will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Beirut on May 29-30, 2015. The congress stands as a successful regional yearly event of updated scientific clinical practice, and a venue for meeting international and national colleagues in the warmth of the famous Lebanese hospitality. This year s program has been designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest scientific developments in ophthalmology. Distinguished specialists and experts in the field will join from all over the world to share their knowledge and expertise. The scientific forum will include two full days of scientific presentations in the fields of cornea and anterior segment, retina, and oculoplastics. More specifically the sessions will cover advances in medical and surgical management of corneal pathology, advances in cataract and IOL surgery, and updates in keratoconus and refractive surgery. A roundtable on different intravitreal injections for AMD, DME and RVO, an update on emergency vitrectomy, endophthalmitis and other medical and surgical retinal topics will be thoroughly covered. In oculoplastics, there will be an update on latest advances in periorbital rejuvenation and management of complications, lacrimal system disorders, evisceration, enucleation, and periorbital reconstruction. A large exhibition of all major companies that supply ophthalmic equipment and medications will be on display during the two days; and I take this opportunity to thank them all for their continuous and invaluable support to our field. I invite you all to be part of this meeting, meet old friends, make new ones, and enjoy a city that taught us all the art of survival and resilience! Jamal H. Bleik, MD, FRCSEd, FRCOphth President of the Lebanese Ophthalmological Society President of the Congress
