About Lynn Wachman Over 20 years of nursing experience allowing for the combination of the western medical model, yoga and Ayurveda to achieve optimal wellness benefits. I began my career in the health field in 1982 as a registered nurse from John Abbott College. Three years later I studied at the University of Montreal to obtain my Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. I worked in both hospital and clinical settings providing care and services for a variety of health issues including pre and post operative care, cancer management, care of the elderly, pre and postnatal education and coaching women in labor. In 2009, I sought to broaden my knowledge of health promotion and studied with Anita Sharma at the Ayurvedic Holistic Center to become a certified Ayurvedic wellness practitioner. I continued my studies with Hervé Blondon at École Satyam de Hatha Yoga where I became a certified Hatha Yoga instructor in 2011 in order to further my education in stress management and healthy lifestyle skills. I study Ayurvedic Yoga and Healing Light Techniques with Dr. Paul Dugliss MD/Ayurvedic doctor at the New World Ayurveda School from 2013 to present. Having good health and less stress cannot be overstated. I had been suffering the effects of a gluten allergy and neurotoxin, which severely impacted my physical health and energy levels. Unable to pursue my interests and enjoy life to its fullest, I have spent several years investigating nutritional and lifestyle alternatives using techniques suggested in Ayurveda and Yoga therapy. As I was able to employ these techniques on my own situation with great success, I have gone back into balance. I am now the person I was prior to these setbacks, and have greatly broadened my horizons. I am now in a unique position to share these positive outcomes with others, in their quest for optimal health and well-being. Today, I enjoy a practice, which includes stress management programs, wellness coaching, Ayurveda wellness consultations, workshops and Yoga instruction.
