Exsisting rule: 4 c Termination of membership If a full membership country or an associate member country does not stay in contact with or pay fee to TCI for two consecutive years, their membership will be terminate. Suggestion: 4 c Termination of membership If a full membership country does not stay in contact with or pay capitation fee to TCI for two consecutive years, their membership will be terminated. If an associate member country does not stay in contact with TCI for two consecutive years, their membership will be terminated. Tangent Finland had already discussed the matter and they were in line with the Board the political and economic situation in a member country should not be the reason for expulsion. Anna added that travelling is a challenge when the organisation is young and have small funds. TCI is in the same situation and is not able to support. Anna appreciates any ideas to grow economy. Both Finland, UK and Israel agreed that we do not always need to be present. Showing interest, giving reports be active in its own country is just as important. And the meeting applauded the suggestion from Anne (Finland) why not use Skype? Anna asked all delegates to bring this exchange of thoughts back to respective countries for further discussion, as this will be brought to voting at the next TCI AGM. 9. Identified Ladies Circle countries next step; contact persons. Networking: South Africa and Nepal met Estonia representatives met Nepal representatives Be ambassadeurs all the time on your travels. If anyone hear someone talking about being a Tangent member, talk to them and let them know how great it is. Nina Leppäkangas President TCSF it would be helpful if there was a some type of brochure of something about what Tangent is and what the difference between Tangent and Agora is. Gerd-Inger Kaasen is working on that. Anne-Mette Thomsen Denmark in Landshut we talked about the problems between Tangent and Agora. What does the board say about that? Agora is interested in cooperating with us. Right now our rules say that we cannot cooperate with Agora. Our Aims and objectives says that we should always work side by side with LC, RT and 41 Club. Nothing about Agora. Maybe we should change that we want to have side by side with the Round Table family - then we do not paint ourselves into a corner. This is an issue that is discussed constantly. Anna Åkesson everything will go by to the book. First the board, then IRO home to their countries. We have a timetable. Liat Wallenstein most important publish in the world. What happens in Tangent in the world. We should be more visible and show that we exist. We should make a presentation to push Tangent forward in each country. We are not active enough in getting more members. Agora in Israel does not grow. They do not cooperate with LC. Liat happy to work internationally on FB etc. to help us stand out. Anna Åkesson the board is working on showing externally that we work with and very close to the Ladies Circle. It is important for us to establish that we are working with Ladies Circle. Susanne Otzen Sweden wonder if TCI facebook is open to all or just for Tangent members. Anna Åkesson you must be approved to see TCI FB. Jill Harris GB&I In Nepal, many were surprised and curious that she is a Tangent. They were also "recognized" at the banner exchange as Tangents.
