It is an outstanding opportunity to advance your knowledge and surgical skills in achieving spinal balance through didactic lectures, case-based discussions and hands-on practical exercises in a sawbones lab setting. Faculty selection includes recognized neurosurgeon and orthopaedic surgeon leaders who are eager to share their knowledge and experience. Sawbone workshop topics will include: Expandable Technology Osteotomy Techniques Pelvic Fixation Options Target Audience Enrollment in this course is open to practicing orthopaedic and neurological spine surgeons. Osteotomy Techniques and Tips for Avoiding Complications Faculty will focus on Smith-Peterson and pedicle subtraction osteotomy. Attendees will be exposed to techniques and complications avoidance. S2 Alar Screws and Pelvic Fixation Options This workshop will focus on the importance of sacropelvic fixation. Faculty will compare traditional iliac fixation with S2-Alar fixation using anatomic landmarks and radiographic techniques. *Program agenda subject to modification.
