May cause headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal irritation, weakness and central nervous system depression. Skin Absorption: Overexposure by skin absorption may cause symptoms similar to those for ingestion. Inhalation: Expected to have low inhalation toxicity with single, short-term exposure. Skin contact: Moderately irritating with skin contact. Eye Contact: Causes substantial but temporary eye damage. Eye exposure to spray mists and vapors may cause irritation. Chronic Effects: Inhalation of product may aggravate existing chronic respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema or bronchitis. Skin contact may aggravate existing skin disorders. Other Hazard: None currently known. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES - Swallowing: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by a doctor or poison control center. Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area with plenty of soap and water. More current 2,4-D lifetime feeding studies in rats and mice did not show carcinogenic effects and a recent World Health Organization (WHO) review of 2,4-D toxicology has concluded 2,4-D is not a carcinogen.
