COMMITTEE S INVITATION Dear Colleagues The NSW RANZCO Branch Committee warmly invites ophthalmologists and trainees from Australia, New Zealand and beyond to attend the 2018 Congress on 16 17 March. We will be returning to the Crowne Convention facility at Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley, north of Sydney. The facility can offer accommodation on site for a large number of delegates in a congenial atmosphere. The theme, Ophthalmology - Its Ups and Downs, will focus on the management and prevention of the complications that are part and parcel of the practice of ophthalmology. A broad spectrum of ophthalmology disciplines will be addressed, and the program should appeal to generalists and subspecialists alike. We are privileged to be to be joined by our distinguished overseas keynote speakers: Ken Nischal is the Professor of Ophthalmology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and is a world authority on paediatric anterior segment surgery and research Rupesh Agrawal is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. His areas of interest are ocular inflammatory disorders, ocular trauma, ocular nanotechnology, and choroid imaging. The distinguished Australian vitreo-retinal surgeon Wilson Heriot will be joining Ken and Rupesh on the Keynote Speaker Podium. So come and join us at Pokolbin in March. Warm Regards, Robert Griffits, Chair, and on behalf of the Organising Committee, 2018 NSW Branch Congress.
