The Population Health Conference 2016 provides clients an educational opportunity and networking experience to share best practices, learn ways to optimize their current investments, and discover new, innovative solutions to help them transition from volume to value in a cognitive era. In addition, the conference will host the Executive Forum, which will run prior to the Main Conference on December 5 th. The Executive Forum is an exclusive, executive-level event with C- suite attendees (including clients, end-stage prospects, and industry leaders) from across the country discussing and sharing ways to drive and lead value-based care initiatives to advance their population health management strategies. Is there a fee to attend the IBM Watson Health Population Health Conference 2016? Yes, there is a fee to attend the conference. Where is the IBM Watson Health Population Health Conference 2016? The IBM Watson Health Population Health Conference 2016 will be held at the Omni Dallas, where clients will get a five-star experience along with a good value. Clients will receive a group discount of $199/night (plus taxes) when they reserve their room through the registration site. Who should attend? All clients are encouraged to attend, from executives, to operations, to quality and analyst personnel, to providers and clinicians on care transition teams. Attire for the conference is business casual during sessions and the welcome reception. Please note conference rooms tend to be cool. Attendees should bring an additional sweater or jacket to stay comfortable. The attire for the Client Celebration is casual. Can I bring my family/children to the conference? Dallas is a family-friendly city with ample activities to do and see with the family. With that said, the conference is a professional conference that is intended for learning and networking. Only registered attendees will have access to the conference. Will I have a chance to meet IBM Watson Health (Explorys, Phytel, EDW) staff at the conference? Yes, attendees will have a chance to meet with a number of staff members at the conference. More details regarding who will be at the conference and how attendees can secure time to meet one-onone with a dedicated staff member will be available closer to the conference. Will I have a chance to network with my peers at the conference? Yes, there will be numerous opportunities to network with other IBM Watson Health Explorys, Phytel and EDW clients at the conference. The welcome reception, breakfast, and lunch sessions, as well as the evening offsite event, will provide ample time to connect, share stories, and foster relationships. Will I have a chance to network with my peers before the conference? A G E N D A When should I plan to arrive for the conference? Attendees who register in advance for a Pre-Conference Session may start as early as 8:00am CT on December 5 th, and should plan their arrival accordingly. Otherwise, Main Conference attendees should plan to arrive before 7:00pm CT on December 5 th to attend the welcome reception that evening. When should I plan to depart from the conference? Main Conference attendees should plan to depart after 1:00pm CT on December 7 th. Postconference sessions will last until 3:00pm CT on December 7 th, so those attending these sessions should plan their departure accordingly. Is there more than one educational track? Yes, we are planning to have more than one track of presentations to expand educational opportunities for each type of clients and users. Do I need to register for a track or session? No, attendees do not need to register for a track or session. However, we do encourage attendees to attend the track that will provide the best overall learning opportunity. There will be guidelines on the conference website to help attendees determine the appropriate track and session to attend. We also suggest that attendees bring others from their organization to the conference to maximize their learning opportunities by attending multiple tracks. What is the difference between the Executive Forum and Main Conference sessions? The Executive Forum is a C-Suite, invitation-only track that will be offered starting on December 5 th before the Main Conference begins. Registration is not open for the Executive Forum at this time. Individuals will receive invitations to participate. The Main Conference sessions are open to all clients and will begin with the evening welcome reception on December 5 th. Can I bring a guest (not within my organization) to participate in a session or sessions? Attendees may register an adult guest (over 21 years old) and pay a one-time nominal fee of $50 for 4 P a g e
the guest to attend a networking event; however, only clients who pay for a full conference registration will be allowed to attend the main conference and breakout sessions. We would appreciate if attendees do not bring children to the Main Conference, welcome reception, offsite event, or breakout sessions. Will Continuing Education Credits (CEU) be offered? The Conference Steering Committee is reviewing options to accredit sessions for continuing education credits. We will announce any updates on our website if this becomes available. Attendees must submit individual registrations for each individual person that will attend. Can I transfer a registration? Yes, a substitution can occur at any time. All substitution requests must be in writing via e-mail to micdot@us.ibm.com. The original enrollee and the replacement enrollee must be from the same company. What if I have to cancel my registration? To cancel, attendees may contact Michael Dotson via email at micdot@us.ibm.com. Cancellation requests must be received in writing. Yes, we have reserved a block of rooms for attendees at the Omni Dallas, TX. This is the same hotel where the conference will be taking place. All attendees are strongly encouraged to book their room through the Omni Dallas, TX to get the most out of their conference experience. How do I make, modify, or cancel my hotel reservations? Attendees can make online reservations at the Omni Dallas, TX, here. All reservations, modifications, or cancellations can also be made by contacting the Omni Dallas directly at (800) 843-6664, referring to the group and meeting name. Note: Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the event (by noon CT on December 4th). All reservations that fail to arrive on the scheduled arrival date will be considered No-Shows and a charge of one night s room and tax will be posted to the individual attendee s credit card on file. Is there a discounted rate for reserving a room? Yes, we have negotiated a discounted group rate of $199/single room (plus tax and service charge) for all attendees. What if I choose to stay at another hotel? Attendees may choose to stay at another hotel. If so, please note there will be no transportation between the conference and other hotel locations. No, attendees are responsible for booking their own travel arrangements to and from the conference. G R O U N D T R A N S P O R T A T I O N Will there be transportation provided from the airport to the hotel upon arrival in Dallas? No, because arrival times vary and to keep conference fees down, we will not be offering transportation from the airport at this time. Will there be transportation provided to the airport from the hotel upon departure? We are reviewing options. Please check back by September 1st to learn more about transportation provided on December 7th for attendees departing from Dallas Fort Worth Airport and Loves Field Airport. Is there parking available at the conference venue? Yes, there is valet parking available at the hotel as well as self-parking facilities within blocks of the hotel. What is the parking rate at the conference venue? We offer a 50% discount per day for valet parking. To maximize networking time with peers at the conference, children are not encouraged to attend the welcome reception. Can I bring children to the offsite event?
