Family and Travel Vaccinations We offer the full range of baby, child and family vaccinations. We are able to tailor schedules to your child s needs or international schedule. We have a suggested vaccination schedule below. Hepatitis B vaccination We recommend consideration of hepatitis B vaccination in accordance with most other countries and the World Health Organisation. This is available from birth, but a useful option is the combination with hepatitis A which is often required for foreign travel in any case, this is given from 12 months. We are more than happy to assist you in continuing another schedule such as the US schedule. We can also provide catch-up vaccinations for those who have missed doses. We do not charge any additional consultation fees. 1 Please contact us by telephone or email to book your appointment. In the case of travel vaccinations please book an appointment at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance of travel if possible. You will receive a link to complete an online pre-appointment questionnaire prior to your appointment. This will allow us to ensure we have all the vaccines you require as some may need to be ordered in advance. Chickenpox Protect your children from this common childhood illness. Also, recommended for adults who are not immune. For children over 12 months and adults. Two doses at least 1 month apart. 1 Except in the unusual occasion when we undertake a pre-travel consultation and no vaccines are given when a nominal 30 charge is payable.

Diphtheria, Tetanus and Poliomyelitis Booster vaccination for children aged 11 to 18 (usually aged 14.) Also used in adults who have sustained an injury and are at risk of tetanus. Diphtheria, Tetanus, Poliomyelitis, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), and Haemophilus type B in Child Sage Membership Part of the primary immunisation for babies at 2, 3 and 4 months. Diphtheria, Tetanus, Poliomyelitis and Pertussis in Child Sage Membership Pre-school booster at age 3 years 4 months. Diphtheria, Tetanus and Acellular Pertussis Recommended for pregnant women. (Lowest component whooping cough vaccine available.) Japanese B Encephalitis 116 May be required for those travelling to rural Asia or staying over 6 to 8 weeks. Children over 2 months and adults. 2 doses at 0 and 7 or 28 days. Haemophilus type B and Meningitis C in Child Sage Membership Given as a single dose at 12 months to protect against these two causes of meningitis.

Hepatitis A 60 For children over 12 months and adults 1 st dose at least 2 weeks before travel. 2 nd booster dose after 6 to 18 months provides over 10 years of immunity. Hepatitis B for adults over 16 years and 45 for children The complete course is 3 injections, the first 2 given 1 month apart and the third 6 months after the first dose. An accelerated course may be given if immunity is required within 3 weeks. Hepatitis A and B combined For children aged over 12 months and adults, 2 doses required 6 months apart. Hepatitis A and Typhoid 77 Commonly used to protect travellers aged over 16 years, a booster dose at 6 to 12 months after the first dose provides long lasting (10 years) protection against Hepatitis A. Human Papilloma Virus Vaccine (against 9 types of HPV) 165 145 for Child Sage Members Protects against precancerous lesions and cancers affecting the cervix, vulva, vagina and anus caused by 9 HPV types. Age 9 to 14 years 2 doses 6 months apart Age 15 years and older 3 doses at 0, 2 and 6 months. Meningitis C in Child Sage Membership For children aged 4 months, given in a single dose. Measles, Mumps and Rubella in Child Sage Membership Part of the recommended immunisations for children at age 12 months and at 3 years and 4 months.

Meningococcal group B 140 for Child Sage Members Bexsero vaccine recommended for children under 5 years of age. If not given as a baby children over 2 years of age require 2 doses 2 months apart. Trumenba vaccine also recommended for teenagers, especially starting college or university, 2 doses 6 months apart. Rabies Rotavirus for Child Sage Members Protection against Streptococcus pneumoniae a cause of meningitis, pneumonia and otitis media. Part of the recommended primary immunisations for babies at 2 and 4 months. A booster dose is also given at 12 months. May be required for those travelling to countries e.g. South America and Asia who may come in to contact with animals e.g. when trekking. 3 doses required at 0, 7 and 28 days. Common cause of gastroenteritis in young babies and toddlers. Part of the recommended primary immunisations of babies at 2 and 3 months. Tick Borne Encephalitis 79 for over 16 years and 73 for aged 1 to 15 years Recommended to protect during tick season (April to October.) 3 doses at 0, 1 and 6 months. Typhoid Commonly required for travel to Asia and Africa. Adults and children over 2 years. BCG Recommended from birth to protect against tuberculosis (TB), especially TB Meningitis. Meningitis ACWY Protects against 4 types of meningococcal bacteria.

71 Recommended for children aged 14 years and for those at risk due to foreign travel. Influenza Nasal Spray 40 for Child Sage Members For children aged 2 to 17 years. Influenza Vaccine 30 for Child Sage Members For children over 6 months and adults. Yellow Fever Required for travel to at risk areas including South America. Includes Yellow Fever Certificate.
