The purpose of the training An Ayurveda technicians will be equipped with basic knowledge of Ayurveda and its principles. This course aims to familiarize the participants with the basic principles of Ayurveda practice connected with the practice of Yoga. It will also provide a basis for other more advanced training (such as training in Ayurveda Therapist Training and other future training that will take place at our center) The course will enable you to: - Determine the constitution of a person, - Make general recommendations in relation to diet and lifestyle according to the constitution - Understand the manifestation of the disease according to Ayurveda - Use massage and Shirodhara techniques and some subtle methods of treatment in your practice. The training covers the main aspects of the Ayurvedic theory, the diet for each constitution, the recommendations for a lifestyle according with the constitution, subtle methods of healing, Ayurvedic psychology, etc.). It also discusses the philosophy of Yoga and Ayurvedic psychology, touching the spiritual principles for a better understanding of human nature (the Samkhya theory, karma, the samsara, mind: manas, buddhi, quoted, The 5 Koshi and 3 body Chakras) The training includes periods of practice, question & answer periods, the practice of yoga (meditation, ceremony) and analysis of cases. Students will need extra hours for reading, individual study and internship. The course is structured on 140 hours of classes spread over 15 days, 70 hours extra hours are required for individual study, practice and training. There will be an oral examination and a written exam. The schedule will be from 9 am to 13 pm and 14 pm 30 to 18 h + yoga, satsang and puja in the evening. This may vary according to the program and subjects studied.

Dates: The 15 day course will be offered 2 times in 2010, at la Liviniere, France (the nearest airport is Toulouse - one hr and a half away). The course will begin April 17th, plan to arrive no later than April 16th. The course will end on May 1 at noon with a ceremony (puja) April 17 th - May 1st 2010 Oct 2 nd Oct 16 th 2010 Cost: The cost for the 15 days training is 1450. It includes training and textbook. Please note that the training and the materials provided would be given in French. Accomodation: Accomodation (lodging, vegetarian meals, snacks, and transportation from and to the airport included) is provided at the center as of 30 per day. We dispose of a room for 2 persons, a room for 3 persons and a dormitory for 4-6 people, the lodging price will vary with your preference. The 2nd level of the training (Ayurveda Therapist) is now being organized, the details will be posted as they become available. Philosophy: According to ancient Vedic scriptures, there is order in the universe and why there is in life, and life is divine and its objective is to realize our divine nature within. The course will provide participants with an incursion into the more subtle aspects of being human. The collection of Charaka stresses the importance of spiritual principles and precision that makes perfect knowledge of Ayurveda is not necessarily a good healer.

According to him, a good practitioner is one who can "touch the soul or inner self of the patient. In other words, the closer to our Divine nature, the more one is healthy. It is therefore the responsibility of the practitioner of Ayurveda inspire or awaken the patient to their own divine inner nature. When patients begin to experience their own divinity and feel that he is connected, healing becomes possible therapies and secondary herbs, dietary changes, therapy with yoga, etc.. can be suggested. Content: The first level of this training aims to familiarize participants with the basic principles of Ayurveda practice intimately connected with the practice of Yoga. It will provide a basis for other more advanced training and at the same time it gives an opportunity for students to be able to introduce some procedures (massage, Shirodhara) in his practice.
