There has been extensive advancement in the care of pediatric patients with skin disease in the past 5 years that has resulted in altered paradigms in the diagnosis, management and care of acne, infantile pustules and vesicles, lice therapy, atopic dermatitis, contact allergy tuberous sclerosis and vascular malformations. Educational Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: Utilize screening techniques for comorbidities of atopic dermatitis and psorasis. Identify whom and when to refer complicated hemangioma patients for early therapeutic intervention. Identify acne patients requiring medical intervention. Explain to patients the nature of atopic dermatitis and therapeutic options. TARGET AUDIENCE Pediatricians, Pediatric Dermatologists, Physician Extenders, Residents, Medical Students and other healthcare providers providing care to pediatric patients.
