No Venue Role When Description 208 Ballina Volunteer Drivers when Region required Transport is always an issue for the customers that we walk alongside. Often they have a disability, live on a low income, and desperately want to join in activities in our hubs and centres. We are looking for a team of volunteers who are willing to drive a small minibus in the Ballina region. As a volunter in this role, you would collect people and take them to central meeting points/ hubs, where they would have the opportunities to meet other like minded friends and participate in fun activities. We would love to hear from you if you enjoy driving, and walking alongside members of the community to help achieve their dreams! 204 Ballina region Volunteer Visitors Visitng people experiencing a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for empathetic and caring volunteers for a new service which will involve visiting people who have recently been diagnosed with Cancer, or are undergoing treatment. Often people feel isolated, and are in a state of extreme worry at this time, and a wonderful team of enthusiastic and caring volunteers is being searched for to help. Full training will be offered with this interesting new opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you. 202 Ballina Study Assistant One of the wonderful people we walk alongside Kayla is working towards completing her Certificare 3 in Childcare, and would really aprpeciate some help to complete her studies. Kayla would prefer a female who has good computer literacy, and the patience and time to assist her with her studies if possible. If you think you can help Kayla then we would love to hear from you.

197 20 Ballina 195 Ballina and Alstonville Disability Service Unit Volunteer, Mon- Frid The Ballina Disability Service Unit team would love a volunteer to assist them to support individuals who attend the exciting day and community programs. The volunteer will be trained by the Facilitator of the program in the changing day to day activities, and how they can assist with either supporting clients in a group setting or the volunteer supporting induvial clients with specific activities. This fun and interesting opportunity will offer the volunteer direct experience in working alongside people who experience a disability. Visiting those who are elderly and isolated Do you think you could spare even 3 hours a month to visit an isolated aged person who would desperately love your company?. The CVS program in Ballina and Austinville have some wonderful characters in the local nursing homes who would really love to have your company, even for an hour per fortnight. The hours are flexible, and it is just to chat, share your company, play a boardgame, or if you are feeling really keen we would love to engage volunteers to lead small group activities wuch as a quiz or bingo game. If you have the time, and would like to really help someone then please get in touch we would love to hear from you.

A volunteer/s is requested in NSW to assist with administrative duties for the volunteer team and to join the new volunteer administrator Louise currently working in Ballina one day per week. FSGA Hubs are seeking a team of enthusiastic volunteers who would be willing to make a positive impact on the lives of people who experience disability. The Hubs will be a meeting and connection point for FSG s LINC (living in natural communities) program in the Northern NSW. area. Volunteers will walk alongside people to engage in various activities both in-centre and out and about in their community and encourage the exploration of interests, dreams and events in their lives..hub volunteers need to be enthusiastic, be able to work as part of A team, have a positive can do attitude, be genuine, committed and value the role that they will have in people s lives while they are accessing the HUB.

I live in beautiful am an easy-going chap who loves dancing and Listening to live music. I am a boogie dancing aficionado! I would really enjoy having someone to go with me to the local Drumming circle on a Friday evening between 5-7pm. We could watch the street buskers perform and if you like we could then go across to the Railway Hotel for dinner and to rock on and watch more live. Entertainment.I am also looking for someone to go out on the weekends on a Saturday and Sunday from 11am- 4pm to explore my local community New We are a newly engaged couple in our late 20 s who share accommodation. My name is Chrissy and my fiancé is Joshua. We both use motorised wheelchairs to get out and about. I am a very fun loving, cheerful and bright individual who loves to go out to watch live music and bands. Joshua on the other hand, is a little quieter than me and likes to stay home and watch football or read. Enjoy each others company immensely. We would really appreciate the friendship of other people who can share our interests and get to know us as a couple or hang Out with us individually. We are seeking volunteers to walk alongside the people whose lives Are affected by disability and attend the Tamar Access Group (TAG). Activities can be in-centre or out and about. Volunteers are needed on any Day Monday to Friday weekly. Some people will use wheelchairs so Manual Handling experience would be an advantage however Training will be provided. *This is the perfect volunteering opportunity for anyone wanting experience In disability support.

David has vision impairment and can no longer drive his car. He would be happy for the volunteer to use the vehicle to take them out and about shopping, for coffee etc. Hi, I am a very young 84rs and live in a nursing home in Ballina. I would really like to learn how to use a computer to keep up to date with technology and the changing world. have most days free and the lovely ladies that work here have offered to let me use the computer in one of the staff rooms. All I need is a coach! Please note: Volunteer positions are based on the needs of FSGA programs and activities, and are matched according to skills, interests, Applicants will be required to attend an interview with the program coordinator prior to commencement.
