20 People with diabetes should try to keep their blood glucose concentration within the same range as a person without diabetes. Most people with Type 1 diabetes regularly check their blood glucose concentration using a meter, as shown in Figure 7. The meter reading is used to estimate how much insulin they need to inject. Figure 7 Figure 8 shows a new system. It is connected to the person all the time.
