Participated in the symposium Advanced techniques in basic research: tools of 21 st Century held on May, 2010 at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Techniques well acquainted Well experience with all the techniques used in molecular genetics studies like: DNA isolation from blood and tissues RNA isolation, ARMS PCR, RFLP, SSCP, PAGE. Modern techniques used in functional characterization and in-vitro assay like: mammalian Cell culture, western blot analysis (CFTR proteins), immunoflouresence, radioactive iodide efflux assay (basic knowledge), site directed mutagenesis and expression of plasmid in mammalian cells. Basic knowledge and hand on practice over biochemical assay techniques like HPLC and GC. Well expertise to use various bioinformatics tools like PolyPhen-2, mmb, HOPE, isatble etc., implicated in functional prediction of human SNPs. As well as basic idea and hand on practice in techniques of homology modelling. FELLOWSHIPS, AWARDS AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS Fellowship- Awarded prestigious Indo-French Charpak PhD fellowship-2012 by French government for six month training in university of Poitiers France, where I have carried out part of my PhD work in collaboration with French laboratory 17 June 2012-16 December 2012. Awards- Awarded ICMR senior research fellowship in 2012. Qualified national GATE examination 2010 with 94.8 percentile. Awarded first prize for poster presentation in CME Molecular basis of Genetic disorders December 2012 organized by department of biochemistry on the occasion of golden jubilee celebration of PGIMER Chandigarh. 5
