You will learn a lot about how to be healthy, and I am going to show you the lifestyle plan and exact nutritional program, including supplementation that I have used to help people with thyroid problems to regain their health. Before we get started, let s talk about strategies to reach your long-term goals first. To best heal the body, there are two programs that most people with thyroid problems should complete: 1) The first is this one,, is the foundational program upon which everything else is built. This is the program I ve used to help people with Hashimoto s and other autoimmune conditions turn their health around, naturally. This program is focused on: Improving energy levels Losing weight Improving mental clarity and focus Sleeping better Improving overall quality of life 2) The second, program I recommend is The 6 Week Hashimoto s Detoxification Program. I can t tell you the importance of this program, it is critical to healing your body as completely as possible. Page7 Week 1-Module 1: Understanding the Problem Important Facts: 1) The #1 cause of hypothyroidism in the US is Hashimoto s. 2) 90% of the hypothyroid cases in the US are due to Hashimoto s. 3) The most common autoimmune condition is Hashimoto s. 4) Hashimoto s effects women more than men. 5) The average time it takes to get a hypothyroid diagnosis is 10 years. 6) The current medical approach to working up hypothyroidism typically only screens TSH, a hormone made by your pituitary gland in your brain. TSH is inadequate to accurately diagnose thyroid problems. 7) There are 24 known ways the thyroid can breakdown, thyroid replacement hormone only addresses 1 of those 24 problems. 8) Medically, the only tool they have for thyroid like symptoms is thyroid replacement hormone, this is why everyone gets the same treatment, and why so many people do not feel better even when their lab tests are normal. 9) Thyroid hormone is required by every cell in your body, and without it, the cell will not function normally resulting in tissue, organ, system, and full body consequences that can have lifelong effects. This is why weight gain, hair loss, fatigue, brain fog, memory problems, mood swings, cold hands and feet, and all the other symptoms happen! Because most people have an autoimmune thyroid condition causing their symptoms, medicine can t help them. To improve the condition, the causes of the autoimmunity have to be addressed that is our goal.

Page8 Okay, so what causes autoimmunity? (Hashimoto s is Autoimmune!) Stress: 1) Emotional 2) Physical Pain 3) Chemical Environmental Chemicals Hashimoto s Nutrient Deficiency: Vitamin and Mineral Food Sensitivities Methylation Problems (Turns genes on and off) Infections: Bacterial, Viral, Parasitic, Fungal As you can see in this diagram, the causes of Hashimoto s are complex, but none of them are due to a deficiency of thyroid hormone! * A short note regarding medications they sometimes help alleviate the low thyroid symptoms, but they NEVER address the cause of the autoimmunity, or 23 of 24 other problems! With all of these causes of autoimmune thyroid conditions, where should you start? If you want a short-cut, then you may want to consider getting help from me to determine the specific causes of your symptoms, BUT, if you want to try something on your own, then start with diet and temporary supplementation to see how you will respond.
