GENERAL INFORMATION Kelthane 50W miticide is a wettable powder formulation that gives high initial kill and residual activity against most species of agricultural mites, including European red mite, two-spotted (red-spider) mite, sixspotted mite, Pacific mite, privet mite, Schoene mite, yellow (carpini) mite, McDaniel mite, spruce mite, pear rust mite and apple rust mite. Kelthane is a specific miticide and will not kill bees and beneficial insect predators when used as recommended. GENERAL USE PRECAUTIONS DO NOT APPLY BY AIR. Do not put Kelthane 50W miticide in alkaline (high ph) solutions or mix with lime or lime-containing products. Adjust the ph of the spray solution to ph 5 to with a buffering agent after adding Kelthane 50W to the tank. If this pest control product is to be used on a commodity that may be exported to the U.S. and you require information on acceptable residue levels in the U.S., contact 1-866-35-4648 or www.cropro.org/ Tank Mixtures Do not apply this product with any other additive, pesticide or fertilizer except as specifically recommended on this label. DIRECTIONS FOR USE READ ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING. FAILURE TO FOLLOW LABEL INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN ERRATIC MITICIDE CONTROL OR CROP DAMAGE. Kelthane 50W miticide may be applied in dilute or concentrate sprays. The amount of Kelthane 50W used per hectare is the same regardless of spray volume. Kelthane 50W is a contact miticide, not a systemic pesticide. Mites must come in contact with Kelthane 50W as it is sprayed or be exposed to Kelthane residues on the leaf and/or fruit surfaces. Since mites often infest the under-surfaces of leaves and fruits, effective control requires an application that thoroughly and uniformly coats all aerial plant surfaces. For maximum effectiveness, Kelthane 50W miticide should be applied to low populations of mites. The following chart is offered as a guide in preparing dilute, high volume sprays. For concentrate sprays, the amount of water used should be reduced in accordance with instructions from the sprayer manufacturer but the amount of Kelthane 50W applied per hectare should be the same whether dilute or concentrate sprays are used. Apply in sufficient water to ensure uniform thorough coverage of foliage and fruit.

page 9 NOTE TO BUYER/USER: READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT FOR SPECIAL USE APPLICATIONS: The DIRECTIONS FOR USE for this product for the use(s) described below were developed by persons other than Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. and accepted for registration by Health Canada under the User Requested Minor Use Label Expansion program. Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. itself makes no representation or warranty with respect to performance (efficacy) and/or crop tolerance (phytotoxicity) claims for this product when used on the crop(s) listed on this label. Accordingly, the Buyer and User assume all liability arising, and agree to hold Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. harmless from any claims based on efficacy and/or phytotoxicity in connection with the use(s) described on this label. DIRECTIONS FOR USE CANEBERRIES INCLUDING RASPBERRY, BLACKBERRY AND LOGANBERRY: For the control of two-spotted spider mite on caneberries including raspberry, blackberry and loganberry, apply 1.5 3.5 kg Kelthane 50W in 1500 2000 litres of water/hectare. Use the higher rate for high mite infestation levels, larger brambles or dense foliage. Use only one application of Kelthane 50W per season. Do not apply within days of harvest. For foliar application only, using conventional ground application equipment. Apply when mite populations are beginning to build. Consult local agricultural personnel for information on application timing. Refer to the main Kelthane 50W label for additional details and instructions. READ THE ROTATIONAL CROPPING RESTRICTIONS ON THE FULL LABEL BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS For resistance management, please note that Kelthane 50W contains a Group 3 acaricide. Any mite population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Kelthane 50W and other Group 3 acaricides. The resistant individuals may dominate the mite population if this group of acaricides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but are specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistancemanagement strategies should be followed. To delay acaricide resistance: Where possible, rotate the use of Kelthane 50W or other Group 3 acaricides with different groups that control the same pests in a field. Use tank mixtures with acaricides from a different group when such use is permitted. Acaricide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting, record keeping, and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices. Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development. Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in your area. For further information or to report suspected resistance contact Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. at 1-800-66-3852 or at www.dowagro.ca. NOTICE TO USER: This control product is to be used only in accordance with the directions on this label. It is an offence under the PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS ACT to use a control product under unsafe conditions. NOTICE TO BUYER: Seller s guarantee shall be limited to the terms set out on the label and, subject thereto, the buyer assumes the risk to persons or property arising from the use or handling of this product and accepts the product on that condition. 031405
