Parkinson s disease treatment Parkinson s disease is a neurodegenerative disease that gives progressive disability which cannot be halted, not even with the most elaborated pharmacotherapy, nor with surgical procedures. Progressive loss of dopamine gives symptoms such as tremor, rigidity of the muscles, slow movements, decreased dexterity, difficulty swallowing food, changed voice, forgetfulness, poor sleeping regimen, depression, sexual dysfunction, chronic fatigue. In early stages the disease can be controlled with present pharmacotherapy. Different types of medications are developed in attempt to compensate loss of dopamine, but the medicine has not yet discovered effective medication that could stop the progression of the disease. On the contrary: the patient must take new medications every few months, their neurologists try out every possible combination, add more and more doses, considering that the patient gets worse

every day. The patient finds himself in a position where he can function good only after taking medications, but since this period of time lasts shorter and shorter, it forces them to take their medications every 2-3 hours. Suddenly they find themselves in a vicious circle, with too much medications that do not solve their symptoms, but only give a lot of side effects, making them feel even worse. Lots of them have also tried the last therapeutically line surgery deep brain stimulation, that seemed to help them for only couple of months, and then it s the same story all over again. Very often we hear same stories from our patients before coming to our treatment their quality of life is dissatisfactory not being able to walk properly, take care of themselves, not being able to perform everyday activities, not being able to hold a fork and a knife because of involuntary movements, being afraid whether they could swallow the next bite or not, sleeping bad, being tired and depressed, and their neurologist only gave them a bunch of pills that have almost zero efficacy, explaining that this is most medicine can do for them. Treatment at Swiss Medica Stem cells therapy is the core of Swiss Medica treatment for Parkinson s disease. Stem cells are in this moment the most powerful discovery and weapon of modern medicine, that can fight this disease, stop its progression, give you strength, power, improve your cognitive function, decrease rigidity of the muscles and tremor, relieve you from bunch of useless medications. Outstanding performance and capabilities of this cells can make your immune system and metabolic state stable and make you resistant to pathological agents from the environment that could, in combination with stress, make your body susceptible for many other diseases.

Our body has two depos of stem cells: Bone marrow (harvesting from iliac bone) and Adipose tissue (harvesting from lower abdominal fat tissue). At Swiss Medica, extraction of the stem cells is done under local anesthesia combined with intravenous sedation, so our patients avoid all risks that are connected to general anesthesia and intubation. With modern, specialized equipment and experienced stem cells specialist team, these procedures are technically easy to perform: Iliac bone is only 1-2 cm under the skin so by using clear anatomical orienteers, with no complications, needle aspiration is done for approximately 15 minutes. Adipose tissue from lower abdominal area is extracted through simple process of liposuction. Immediately after harvesting of the stem cells, the patient is awake, having breakfast, being monitored in a procedure room. Since we use only intravenous sedation, there is no post anesthesia drowsiness. As the procedure is done using only a needle, trauma to the surrounding tissue is minimal.

The preparation of patient s stem cells is done under strictly controlled laboratory conditions. After couple of hours, procedure of stem cells preparation is done and infusion with patient s stem cells is ready for administration. Since these stem cells are cells from your own body, there are no risks of infections, allergic or oncologic reactions. There are two treatment programs for Parkinson s disease at Swiss Medica: Basic and Enhanced program. 1. Basic Stem Cells Treatment For Parkinson s Disease Basic stem cells treartment for PD at Swiss Medica includes one stem cells treatment:

2. Enhanced Stem Cells Treatment For Parkinson s Disease Enhanced Swiss Medica s treatment program for Parkinson s disease combines advanced diagnostics medical equipment and specialized medical devices with enhancement procedures & rehabilitation and two stem cells treatments as a core of the program: Neuro Jet NeuroJet therapy represents computer controlled, locally oriented neurostimulation of brain parts responsible for endorphins/dopamine production. This method is completely safe, the patient is conscious and active, free to any of his everyday activities. A therapeutic effect of neurostimulation is gained by portable device worn around the waist or on the neck. The device has two cables with electrodes. The contact is gained by standard ECG labels adhered to the skin. There are no operations, no incisions for electrodes implantation. While this device in on, the patient feels slight tingling and vibration at the place of skin contact. NeuroJet device does not cause any unpleasant feelings.

Transcranial electro and magnetic stimulation Transcranial electro stimulation is a form of neurostimulation that uses constant, low current delivered to the brain area of interest via electrodes on the scalp. TMS is a non-invasive procedure in which electromagnet painlessly delivers a magnetic pulse that stimulates nerve cells in targeted regions of patient s brain. OxyVen Oxygen leads to the intensified formation of the blood flow, antithrombotic hormone and increases the number disease-fighting white blood cell. This results in a strong vascular dilation in the complete body structure and has strong anti-inflammatory effect. OxyVen is a device used for more direct - intravenous intake of oxygen. Laser blood irradiation More than 25 years of experience of laser blood irradiation has shown that it directly influences the parameters of all cells in the blood, blood plasma, the coagulation process and all the structural components of the vascular wall. Also, LBI directly or indirectly affects the cells of the immune system, hormones, and exchange processes in an organism, thereby not only improving the function of the vascular system, but also the other systems of an organism. Furthermore, it improves energy metabolism of stem cells. Neurometabolic infusions These infusions increase the concentration of oxygen in your blood stream, and the blood supply to the brain and periphery. This decreases the amount of toxins and degradation products of metabolism, in order to achieve the best possible condition in your body, as a preparation for stem cells administration.

Physiotherapy The main goals od physiotherapy for Parkinson s diseases are maximising independence and functional potential and minimising secondary complications using specialized equipment and modern physiotherapy devices. Physiotherapy will focus on mobilising joints that have become stiff to help regain normal movement and improving the flexibility of tight muscles will also help towards moving more freely. Restoring postural stability will also have a subsequent effect on balance. Improvements Stem cells are baby cells and it takes some time for differentiation and development after approximately three months we start seeing first improvements firstly we can see improvement of general health condition more energy, more strength, better regimen of sleep, no infections, and then improvements of motor skills decreased tremor, decreased rigidity of the muscles, better dexterity, and what s most important - it gets easier to perform everyday activities.

Patient testimonials... Now I think a lot faster and my condition improved a lot I must say that my body is slowly getting into a better shape as well. I walk differently... I can wash my face, get dressed in 5 minutes, I can wash my back, which I couldn t do before... There s a lot of treatment and you re always in the center of what s happening they listen to everything you say. And I d recommend anybody, if they want to look at stem cell therapy, Swiss Medica in Belgrade is brilliant. As I said, they are so... recorded numerous improvements, although he still shakes a bit, but he could not shave or eat soup before, and now he can do it again, peacefully, he shaves, he can eat soup, although he still shakes a bit, but these are great improvements After infusions, I felt the difference compared to the period before I arrived. I m leaving today. I am very sorry to be leaving, most of all because of the staff who were there for me constantly. I looked at them as if they were my friends not my therapists Well, the first month went well. I regained my psychophysical energy, especially in the sport I practice, I felt an improvement... I manage it, I manage to do sports, still not as I used to, but we re TESTIMONIALS sve Beograd getting bilo uk there ili Italy ali sve Beograd
