Speaker Lineup Dr. Gordon Christensen, DDS, MSD, PhD USA Dr. Christensen is the Founder & CEO of Practical Clinical Courses (PCC), an international continuing education organization providing dental education to all dental professionals., and CEO of Clinicians Report Foundation. He has taught over 45,000 hours of continuing education worldwide and has published many books and articles. Gordon Christensen has received his DDS, MSD, and PhD degrees. Dr. Christensen is currently a practicing prosthodontist in Provo, Utah. Dr. Joe Massad, DDS USA Dr. Massad graduated from Loyola University of Chicago and is presently the Director of Removable Prosthodontics at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona. Dr. Massad was an associate professor from 1992-2003 at the Pankey Institute in Florida and holds faculty positions at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Dr. Massad has published a variety of more than 40 professional articles in leading dental publications. Dr. Ralf Smeets, MD, DDS, PhD Germany Dr. Smeets studied human and dental medicine (MD, and DMD) and chemistry at the RWTH Aachen University of Technology and got a research fellowship there. In 2011, Prof. Dr. Dr. Smeets became a full professor,managing senior physician and Head of Research, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf (UKE), Germany. He has won several awards and is continuously authoring publications in the field of implantology and oral surgery. Dr. Carl Driscoll, DMD, FACP USA Dr. Carl F. Driscoll currently serves as a Professor at the University of Maryland Dental School and as Director of Prosthodontic Residency. Dr. Driscoll is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). Dr. Driscoll has served as President of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and as President of the ACP. Dr. Driscoll has given over 350 presentations nationally and internationally and has authored over 75 publications. Dr. Bryan Jacobs, DMD, MS USA Dr. Jacobs is a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and the University of Michigan, College of Engineering. He is formally trained in complex rehabilitation, digital dentistry, as well as implant surgery and restoration. Dr. Jacobs also holds a position as a clinical professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, School of Dentistry. He has published abstracts and articles in multiple international journals. Dr. Hasan Aydilek, DDS, MSc Turkey Dr. Aydilek attended the Istanbul University where he completed his dental education. He is a master of implant surgery and training at the International Implant Foundation in Switzerland. He has participated in many domestic and foreign dental conferences as a participant and speaker. He has also published many abstracts and articles on implantology. Dr. Aydilek founded three dental hospitals and opened his own hospital in Istanbul where he practices today.
Dr. Effrat Habsha, DDS, MSc, Dip. Prostho., FRCD Canada Dr. Effrat Habsha earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. She completed her dental training at the University of Toronto and received her DDS from the same institution. Upon graduation, Dr. Habsha completed a one year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She pursued her Graduate studies in Prosthodontics receiving a Diploma in Prosthodontics followed by a Master of Science degree, both from the University of Toronto. Dr. Marc Hansen, DDS, MS Germany Dr. Hansen attended the RWTH Aachen University of Technology where he studied dentistry at the University hospital. In 1997, Dr. Hansen took over a dental office in Dortmund, Germany, which he currently owns and continues to practice in to this day. He has also authored many specialist publications on implantology and belongs to a multitude of scientific associations relating to dentistry and implantology. Dr. Tomas Linkevicius, DDS, PhD Lithuania Dr. Tomas Linkevicius received his DDS degree in 2000 in Kaunas University, Lithuania. In 2004 he finished his post-graduate program in prosthodontics at Vilnius University. In 2009 he received a PhD degree at Riga Stradins University, Latvia. Currently, Dr. Linkvicius serves as the Associate Professor at the Institute of Odontology, Vilnius University. He also works at the private practice Vilnius Implantology Center and is a founder of the private research center Vilnius Research Group. Dr. Marco Josch, DDS Germany Dr. Josch has been a practicing dentist and implantologist since 1995. He attended the Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany. In 2007, Dr. Josch obtained recognition from the BDIZ, whose acronym translates to the Federation of Dentists Working in Implantology in English. Today, Dr. Josch is a practicing dentist and surgeon at his personal practice in Langenhangen, Germany. Dr. Russell Baer, DDS USA Dr. Baer was a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Chicago where he taught implant dentistry in the General Practice Residency and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics program and conducted clinical research in implantology and reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Baer is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has written numerous articles and lectures both nationally and internationally on implant dentistry. Prof. Kornel F. Ehmann, MS, PhD USA Dr. Ehmann received his Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade in Yugoslavia. He also received a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Ehmann specializes in a variety of subjects including micro/meso-scale manufacturing, precision engineering, and automation and robotics. Dr. Ehmann has served on many editorial boards and as a adjunct professor in services related to the field of engineering.
