WINTER CAMP Triathlon 2018. AusdauerNetzwerk & Challenge Kaiserwinkl - Walchsee. From 14. - 18. January we love to welcome you to the A N Winter Camp! For endurance athletes, and especially for triathletes we designed an exciting training program for you. Upgrade the upcoming season! No matter if you are a beginner or already in good shape, you ll have fun but also being challenged. Get inspired with the team. "Yes, we re going to leave comfort zone!" "Yes, we ll be back with a smile and stronger!" This sums up the fascination of the Winter Camps, so the coaches, triathlete Mathias Flunger and skimarathon specialist Thomas Freimuth from AusdauerNetzwerk/Munich. The sport scientists know the impressive area Kaiserwinkl from Challenge Walchsee, which hosts thousands of triathletes for an unique event, Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee, every year in summer. We re so happy to meet you soon in winter time. You want to stay longer in beautiful Tirol. No problem. Location Our hotel is the 4* Wildauerhof. First address for athletes in this area. Located at the xc-ski track, close to Walchsee, wellness and kitchen on highest level is what this place make it to nr.1 for active holidays. We, the Wildauer family, love what we do. Situated next to beautiful Walchsee/Tirol, we warmly welcome since 1965 guests from all over the world and make their stay very special. The nature reserve Kaisergebirge, with summits of the wild, tame Kaiser, maximum height of 2.344 meters and the size of 102 squaremeters, gives us a majestic frame for this event. With almost 240 km of xc-ski tracks, Kaiserwinkl is one of the biggest xc-ski areas in Austria.

Curriculum of the camp Day 1 (Sunday, 14.1.2018) Till 1.00 pm you re responsible for your arrival to Sonnleiten 51, 6344 Walchsee, Hotel Wildauerhof. After a first come together, quick briefing and hand out of the rental skis we start our training next to the hotel. You ll get to know the coaches, the participants and material, combined with an easy warm-up this will be our start for the day. After a quick technique check the groups are known. Both as also technique style and performance level force a solid and harmonic session. Of course the groups and coaches change from time to time, so everybody will get the secrets of each trainer. We train in small groups to make it individualized. For us, diner is at 6:30. Day 2 (Monday, 15.1.2018) Breakfast is at 7:30. Training starts at 9:00 with diverse technique exercises. We integrate exercises for coordination and special requirements on the tiny xc-skis, sometimes challenging but always funny. As often as possible we do a video to document your progression. A video analysis show the details and the potential to improve. A special hint, an individual exercise, and you ll feel the improvement instantly. In the afternoon, from 2:30 to 5pm, we re hiking to a hut, called Aschingeralm. After tea, coffee and cake, feel free to take a sledge downhill. Before diner at 6.30 it s always good to do wellness in the hotel. Our physiotherapist is happy to enhance recovery with a massage. After diner the scientists will give you some views on the topic, training and diagnostics.

Day 3 (Thuesday, 16.1.2018) As usual we have training from 9.00-12:00. Today s topic: Gearing of xcskiing. Focus in the morning 2:1 technique, the mountain gear. For every athlete easy to learn, because you don t need too much stability on one leg. Beside technique training you ll always have the chance to do endurance training by yourself. 12:00 is lunch time. After relaxing and loading the batteries the second session starts at 2pm. Fatbikes will join us on getting special miles in our legs. Alternatively you can also go for a xc-ski tour. Before diner at 6.30 it s always good to do wellness in the hotel. Our physiotherapist is happy to enhance recovery with a massage. After diner, the business owner of AusdauerNetzwerk Thomas Freimuth and Mathias Flunger will give you insights of their endurance sport adventures.

Day 4 (Wednesday, 17.1.2018) Fourth day, means again technique training, but we re going one step further. Focus are the fastest technique styles. We re going to improve our skills regarding the performance level of each on a wonderful loop in the landscape of Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee. Enjoy xc-skiing with us face to face to pure nature and the mighty Kaisermountains. We don t stop working on breaking down the technique segments and putting them together to a smooth system;-). According to the motto "improve single elements and build it together to a better economic and effective motion" we keep on working. In the afternoon everybody can join the low impact / coordination workout following with an endurance run. A N coach Mathias burns your muscles;-). We start at 2:30pm. 90 min. in total. At the same time it s also possible to use the pool in the hotel for your own exercises. In the evening we re going into material science. Topic: "How to wax and care my skis properly?" A presentation of a ski waxing pro will show you the facts and details. Day 5 (Thursday, 18.1.2018) The final training starts close to the Hotel at 9 am. Focus is to recapture the elements and cementing the learned motions into a long term basis. Finally everybody can go hard with perfect technique. A small relay race will round off the fantastic and educational days of the camp. At around 11:30 am good bye and see you soon will follow after the award ceremony.
