PPE WORKSHOP An all-encompassing, training seminar directed at Developing, Implementing, and Managing a complete PROGRAM for the Selection, Use, and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural and Proximity Firefighting. Presented By Inc Partnership with PPE = LIFE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT www.ppeworkshop.com

A PROGRAM APPROACH for the SELECTION, USE, and MAINTENANCE of PROTECTIVE ENSEMBLES for FIREFIGHTING. An all-encompassing, training seminar directed at Developing, Implementing, and Managing a PROGRAM for the Selection, Use, and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural and Proximity Firefighting. The goal is to provide the training and skills to establish a documented PROGRAM that is compliant with regulatory standards, incorporates all aspects of PPE, and is functional. THE PROGRAM: The PROGRAM is a planned and systematic approach for selecting a protective ensemble that is suitable and appropriate, for providing the member with the training and skills to properly use the protective ensemble, and for maintaining the protective ensemble in a safe and sanitary condition. COURSE CONTENT: Recognizing the importance of the protective ensemble, most organizations want to do what is right however; even the most experienced organization can find the subject of PPE to be overwhelming, complex and, complete with plenty of opportunity to make costly mistakes. To succeed, the organization has to be well versed on both the technology and regulatory compliance. The PPE Workshop is a 4 day training course, presented by recognized subject matter experts. It is directed at organizations seeking solutions, and answers regarding regulatory compliance, selection criteria, usage, and maintenance of firefighting protective ensembles. Through training, the goal of the PPE Workshop is to provide the organization with the knowledge and skills to go from lost and overwhelmed to doing PPE smart. The PPE Workshop is especially pleased to welcome S.A.F.E.R., (Southern Area Fire Equipment Research. www.safer.org) and its members. The PPE Workshop is also honored to host the S.A.F.E.R. meeting and its keynote speaker at the Wednesday evening dinner. An optional ½ day course is available to all attendees, at no additional expense. This will be a hands-on maintenance workshop intended to teach the practical parts of the Program for Maintenance; to include the Advanced Cleaning, Advanced Inspection, and Complete Liner Inspection. The training will cover helmets, hoods, jackets, trousers, gloves, and boots. Not covered will be the Basic Repairs of jackets and trousers however; repair technicians will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate techniques. COURSE MANUALS: Each student will be provided with a course manual containing each speaker s presentations and a working example of a Program for Selection, Use, and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles. 1
