Dear Friends and Colleagues, As summer winds down and our kids are transitioning back into school, we look back at what s important in our lives. The camaraderie and friendship over the years is what makes our study club unique. Our unique study club allows us to break away from the monotony of private practice and share our everyday problems with like-minded friends and colleagues. Of course, the unparalleled education our club provides is also something we can all be proud of. Having gone through the fundamentals of dentistry over the past 6 years, I think it s time we tackle more advance and cutting edge topics in dentistry today. This year, we hope to examine the (controversial) management of inflammatory peri-implant disease, speech pathology associated with complex oral conditions, latest technologies available for caries detection and non-verbal communication strategies in dentistry. We are also proud to have Professor Karen Baker come back to our study club on Friday, January 13 th, 2017 to discuss oral homecare products. Based on her past presentations, this is one meeting we are really looking forward to attending. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for being a member of this study club. By participating in this unique study club, you have shown your dedication to enhancing patient care through continuing education a quality we should all be proud of. Once again, Lisa, Heather and I are only stewards of your study club, and as stewards, we welcome any feedback and suggestions on how we can make your study club even better. Sincerely, Edwin Leung
