Weekly consensus meetings with neurologist, Dr. Helena Chui, on patients brain scans. 2004-2005 Neuropsychology Project Assistant USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology La Puente, California Setting: Community Based Clinic Responsibilities: The first to begin testing patients for the USC research project titled Vascular Risk and Cognitive Status in a Latino Population consisting of 400 patients over a 5 year period; project currently ongoing. Utilized an experimental neuropsychological battery to test cognition and memory of patients 60 years or older to gather data of cognitive functioning and presence of disorders, such as dementia, among the Latino population. Study to determine whether certain medical conditions, i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, eye conditions, etc. are correlated with cognition and dementia. 2004 Research Assistant Patton State Hospital San Bernardino, California Setting: Maximum Security Forensic State Hospital Responsibilities: Accessed medical records of 200 patients who were participating in the Mall program. Coded demographics and pertinent variables of aggression. Pre- and post-comparison of variables were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the Mall program. 2003 Research Assistant Responsibilities: Assisted a doctoral student with her dissertation. Evaluated PsyD students clinical skills and competency using a coding system intended for research and program evaluation.
