There are 3 main challenges that most people face when they try to lose weight, give up sugar, go on a diet, and try to get healthier. They are identified on the next page.

Challenge #1 Feeling out of control because of sugar or food cravings Challenge #2 Comfort food feels so good Challenge #3 When you are unhappy, it is easier to reach for sugar and eat comfort food than deal with what s really going on

Eat for Health, Be Your Best Self Webinar The 7 solutions to these and other challenges most people face are as follows

SOLUTION #1: Wash your craving away! Sounds crazy, but sometimes sweet cravings are a sign of dehydration. So pound a glass of water, wait 5 minutes and you should feel your craving reducing.

SOLUTION #1: Wash your craving away! You can also satisfy your body s need for hydration and sweetness by taking a bottle of water, add a Stevia packet for sweetness with no calories and a True Lemon Packet for instant, healthy, sweet lemonade. + + +

SOLUTION #2: Satisfy your sweet tooth with veggies, fruits & spices. Your tongue has sweet taste buds that demand to be satisfied, so don t hold out on them! It s a smart idea to make naturally sweet foods and spices part of your everyday life. Giving yourself healthy sweets will alter your physiology for the better, instead of sending it on a sugar-crazed ride, for example

Have snack baggies full of cherry tomatoes or carrots or berries or figs or apples.

If you have to binge binge on green peppers, cucumbers, grapes or coconut covered dates.

Give yourself lots of naturally occurring and betterfor-your-body sugar so that you don t physically depend on processed sugar. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth by drinking herbal teas with honey. Herbal teas are great hot or iced, optionally with packets of Stevia and True Lemon.

SOLUTION #3: Sleep For many of us, this is easier said than done. But think about it If you re constantly tired, your body is going to look for energy, usually in the form or sugar or caffeine.

It s a new idea in weight loss! Power down an hour earlier than usual, get some extra sleep on a regular basis and notice how your cravings the next day are less. Less cravings, less temptation = potential for more weight loss! & Less Emotional Eating

SOLUTION #4: Regulate your protein This is a fun, cool fact observe how much protein and what kind of protein you re eating, especially animal protein. Eating too little animal protein can lead to massive sweet cravings. Eating too much animal protein can lead to sweet cravings.

It s all about balance because protein balances blood sugar! When your blood sugar is in balance, your body doesn t need to turn on the hunger/craving switch. When I work with clients, we find just the right sweet spot for protein intake so they feel satisfied, and increase their daily energy!

SOLUTION#5: Stop consuming low-fat and fat-free foods When food manufacturers take the fat out of foods, what do they put in? Yep, sugar!

Many low-fat or fat-free foods are dairy. Yogurt is a great example. People think they are eating better by eating low-fat yogurt, but it is loaded with sugar. The probiotic-effect you are trying to get by eating yogurt is being diminished by the sugar or sweetener that is: 1. Killing your immune system anyway 2. Setting you up for cognitive impairment

The best yogurt choice, in my opinion, is Whole Milk, Organic, Plain yogurt, with no sugar added. Another option is plain Greek Yogurt with no sugar added. Then, you can add your own wholesome and safe ingredients like fresh fruit, granola, nuts, and sweeten it with honey or stevia.

SOLUTION#6: Get Happy It might seem crazy what I m bout to say Sunshine she s here, you can take a break I m a hot air balloon that can go to space With the air, like I don t care, baby by the way Song played in the webinar: Happy by Pharrell Williams

SOLUTION#6: Get Happy Because I m Happy Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof Clap along if your feel that HAPPINESS IS THE TRUTH Clap along if you know what happiness is to you Clap along if you feel like that s what you want to do.

Movement is another kind of food for your body. It releases stress, makes you feel great and look great. When you don t get enough movement, the body starts to look for other ways to blow off steam, like bingeing on Snickers bars. True that?

So, break out in a song Go for a walk Get on your exercise bike Run up and down the stairs Whatever --- just bust a move and tell your cravings that YOU are in control now. Ha, Ha!

SOLUTION #7: Create new post-meal rituals If you re a dessert after your meal person, OR A just one piece of chocolate won t hurt person, or a well, you know your thang!

What might be happening is that you are really just in love with the ritual. Hmmmm Think about that for a moment. Are you in love with your ritual?

It is the way in which you might reward yourself for a difficult day, right? It is the quick way to get some pleasure, and relax, yes? When I work with my clients, we explore other possibilities for post-meal rituals so they can get their needs met in healthy ways, instead of harmful ways. --- and no, I am not saying one piece of chocolate is harmful.
