Dear Colleagues, The (ICS) is arranging the First Mumbai Advanced Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Course. Oncoplastic Breast Surgery comprises new surgical techniques that combine the principles of cancer surgery with those of plastic surgery, with the aim of optimising cancer cure while maintaining the shape and symmetry of the Breast. These surgical procedures improve the quality of life of the patient with Breast Cancer. Over the last two decades these oncoplastic techniques have radically changed and expanded the boundaries of Breast Conservation. It will be the endeavor of the faculty to teach the concepts and nuances of these highly technical procedures to a small group of surgeons with the help of lectures, videos and group discussions. To achieve a high quality program the ICS has invited a faculty of international experts with experience in conducting such courses across Europe, to teach the nuances of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, along with a few selected Indian experts. The course is aimed at surgical oncologists, plastic surgeons and anyone interested in learning the nuances of modern Breast Surgery from India as well as abroad.
