Connecting people through technology PARTICIPANTS & SPEAKERS Participants use their smartphones, tablets and/or laptops, and listen to real interpreters via Wi-Fi or mobile data networks. If needed, traditional headsets with standard IR/radio transmitters may also be used. At small meetings, speakers speak into a smartphone or a laptop, whereas at large events they can use the on-site audio system. If participants or speakers cannot attend an event in person, they can still participate remotely. Interprefy s platform can be accessed via mobile app or the Firefox/Chrome browser. Real interpretation with real interpreters INTERPRETERS Interpreters need not be present at the event venue they can be located and work from anywhere. Interpreters travelling and accommodation expenses as well as time and resources for renting, transporting and installing booths are eliminated. Certified interpreters can be provided through leading worldwide interpreting agencies, or clients can use their own interpreters. Interpreters can also work from booths at the organiser s premises. At events with multiple languages, on-site interpreters can work in parallel with remote counterparts.
