Roberta C. In August of 2008 I was diagnosed with BPPV (Vertigo). I went through treatment, neck exercises and therapy. When I finished with therapy my vertigo was gone, however, my neck was stiff caused by overuse and my jaws were extremely sore due to constantly clinching my jaws trying to keep my balance. I'm no stranger to chiropractic care; I have gone to chiropractors all my life. So I Advantages of a Newsletter searched the internet for a chiropractor who could help me Add with Value Vertigo to Your and Newsletter TMJ and I found Dr. Marla and Hilltop Second Chiropractic. Story The evening Another of my Story first visit Dr. Marla called me at home to make sure I was feeling ok and I knew then that this was the doctor for me. Ideal Protein Client of the Month Roshini M -Down 21.6 # in Two Months I've struggled with my weight all of my life. I went from being a chubby kid, to a slightly overweight teenager, to an obese adult. the web at ww.northwind.com My biggest eye opener was a family wedding back in India this February. Up to that point, I hadn't realized that my weight was going up again. I was extremely shocked and embarrassed when my cousin showed me the wedding album. I looked at the pictures alone and I cried. It was a reality punch in the face. At 25, I decided to take control of my life. I started my IP journey in April 2016. At first, it was difficult to break the old, bad habits. But I kept telling myself this is temporary, and I am doing this for myself. I started counting calories, reading foods labels, and even weighing my food to learn about appropriate food servings. The weight started coming off. On average, I was losing at least 2 pounds per week. Don't get me wrong it wasn't easy! I had to stick with it and practice serious self-control. I would decline certain social events because they revolved around food. I brought lunch to work (8 oz. Protein), and kept healthy IP snacks on me at all times. I also started cooking meals at home using healthy recipes from Janeva's IP cookbook. It's not always easy, but I've realized that I'm worth all of the hard work. I'm continuing to push myself to new heights so that I never stop growing and developing. I want to thank Dr. Marla for recommending IP, Rochelle for being an amazing coach and a listener. And, finally, Stephanie who has given me helpful recipes (ie. Emerald Shake, etc.). This journey would not be possible without all your help, and support. I truly appreciate all your guidance through this process. Your last diet! Ready to get those extra pounds off? Join us for ideal protein seminar on July 18th at 6:15pm! Learn how you can lose the weight for good! Everyone is welcome, just RSVP at 651-452-7141.

The days are getting longer and brighter, the flowers are starting to sprout, and your inspired to get your hands dirty in your garden. Gardening is a great past time and very rewarding, but for some there is a painful consequence from continuous slouching, bending, and lifting heavy loads. Here are some tips to keep your back safe during the gardening season: Warm up: Like any other physical activity, a warm up is a way of preparing your body for new movements. In fact, it only takes three minutes to warm up! Drink Water: When you are physically active hydration is very important, don t forget to keep a bottle of water close to you. Take a Break: It s easy to lose track of time when you are having fun digging in the dirt, but a well-deserved 10-20 minute break is a great pain prevention tool. Take the time to stretch out, and re fuel. Keep your joints and back safe and healthy with these gardening tips. Watch out for heavy loads: in mind lifting smaller loads are better for your joints, and your back. If you must lift a heavy load ask for help or use a tool to decrease the stress on your own body. Listen to your body: If you are already feeling the signs of being over worked STOP and listen to your body. These are premature signals that you might be soar or worse later if you continue the job.

Have a Safe and Happy 4 th of July Have fun in the sun but do it safely! Four Tips for a Healthy Fourth 1. Stay Hydrated Whether or not you are out in the sun, you need to stay hydrated. The rule of thumb is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day. If you are in this heat, you will need more! Our bodies perspire to cool off and we need to replenish these fluids. 2. Get Active A moving body is a healthy body. Get outside and do something active. Exercise is like investing your money. You actually get more energy out when you put into it! The health benefits are numerous you will feel better through a release of endorphins (your body s natural pain-killers), you will oxygenate your body s tissues, you will breathe easier, you will pump blood more efficiently, and yes you will have more energy if you exercise. 3. Eat Healthy Even if you are grilling or packing a picnic lunch, take the time to add in something healthy. Have a salad or a few pieces of fruit. Fruits and vegetables are loaded with water as well and by eating them it will help ward off dehydration on these hot days. 4. Stay Cool Obviously, we can t tolerate extreme heat for too long. If you are out and about, make sure to get periods of time indoors or in the shade. Most of all enjoy some down time. Recharge your batteries and celebrate our Independence Day!
