How to Transfer Your Settings for your Replacement Paradigm REAL-Time Revel Insulin Pump Let s get started! Step 1: Before you send your original pump back, copy your current settings onto the Insulin Pump Settings Form. If for any reason you cannot copy the settings please contact your Healthcare Provider or reference your CareLink reports. Step 2: Insert a AAA battery into your new pump. Be sure not to use a rechargeable or lithium battery. Step 3: Follow the instructions found on pages 2 through 5 to program the settings that you have recorded on the Insulin Pump Settings Form into your new pump. A CHECK SETTINGS alarm will occur after the first time you rewind your new pump. Press ESC then ACT to clear the alarm. For more information on pump features and settings, reference the Paradigm REAL-Time Revel User Guide.

When your pump is idle, press ACT to access the Main Menu. Setting Time and Date MAIN > Utilities 1. Scroll to Time/Date and press ACT. 2. Select 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour (military time) and press ACT. 3. Press ACT to change the Time/Date. 4. Use and to set the hour. If 12-hour was selected, make sure you scroll through the hours until AM or PM time is set correctly. 5. Press ACT to set. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to set the minutes, year, month, and day. A prompt will appear asking if time and date are correct. If they are, highlight Yes and select ACT. A CHECK SETTINGS alarm will also sound; clear the alarm by pressing ESC and then ACT. Setting Max Basal Rate MAIN > Basal > Basal Setup 1. Select Max Basal Rate. Press ACT. 2. Use and to set the MAX BASAL RATE amount. 3. Press ACT. Setting Basal Rates MAIN > Basal 1. Scroll to Basal Setup. Press ACT. 2. Set/Edit Basal is highlighted. Press ACT. 3. Use to set the basal rate amount. Press ACT. 4. If setting one basal rate, press ACT to finish. 5. Use and to Set START TIME 2. Press ACT. 6. Use and to Set BASAL RATE 2. Press ACT. 7. repeat steps 5 and 6 as needed. Press ACT to skip final START TIME. 8. BASAL RATE screen appears showing the current rate (U/H); start time and 24 hour basal total. Setting Max Bolus MAIN > Bolus > Bolus Setup 1. Select Max Bolus. Press ACT. 2. Use and to set the MAX BOLUS amount. 3. Press ACT. 2

Turn Bolus Wizard On: MAIN > Bolus > Bolus Setup 1. Select Bolus Wizard Setup. Press ACT. 2. Select Edit Settings. Press ACT. 3. Select Wizard: Off. Press ACT. 4. Select On. Press ACT. Program Bolus Wizard Settings: MENU > Bolus > Bolus Setup > Bolus Wizard Setup > Edit Settings 1. Highlight Carb Units. Press ACT. 2. Select Grams or Exchanges and press ACT. 3. Highlight Carb Ratios. Press ACT. 4. Use and to set Carb Ratio. Press ACT. 5. If setting more than one Carb Ratio, use and to SET START TIME 2, otherwise, press ACT to finish. 6. Highlight BG Units. Press ACT. 7. Select mg/dl. Press ACT. 8. Highlight Sensitivity. Press ACT. 9. Use and to set Sensitivity. Press ACT. 10. If setting more than one Sensitivity, use and to SET START TIME 2, otherwise, press ACT to finish. 11. Highlight BG Target. Press ACT. 12. Use and to set Low and High Target. 13. Press ACT after each one. 14. If setting more than one Target Range, use and to SET START TIME 2, otherwise, press ACT to finish. 15. Highlight Active Ins Time. Press ACT. 16. Use and to set Time. Press ACT. 17. Press ESC to finish programming your Bolus Wizard Settings. Bolus Wizard Setup is complete message appears. Note: The settings shown are for illustration purposes only your settings may be different. 3

Programming the Sensor Features: Turn Sensor On: Main > Sensor 1. Press ACT on Edit Settings. 2. Press ACT on Sensor. The SENSOR ON/OFF screen appears. 3. Highlight On and press ACT. Turn Glucose Alerts on: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings 1. Highlight Glucose Alerts and press ACT. 2. On the GLUCOSE ALERTS screen, highlight On and press ACT. Set Low and High Glucose Limits: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Glucose Limits 1. Use and to change Low Glucose Limit and press ACT. 2. Then use and again to change High Glucose Limit and press ACT. 3. SET START TIME 2 appears. Press ACT if you do not have additional Glucose Limits to set. Otherwise, use and to set the time and press ACT. 4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to set the remaining limits. Set Low and High Repeat: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Hi Repeat 1. Use and to set High Repeat time and press ACT. Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Lo Repeat 1. Use and to set Low Repeat time and press ACT. Set Predictive Alerts: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Predict Alerts 1. Use and to set Low Predictive time and press ACT. 2. Repeat step to set High Predictive time and press ACT. Set Fall and Rise Alerts: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Rate Alerts 1. Use and to set prescribed Fall Rate and press ACT. 2. Repeat this step to set Rise Rate. Turn to page 5 to continue setting sensor settings 4

Set Calibration Repeat: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Cal Repeat 1. Use and to set Calibration Repeat time and press ACT. Set Calibration Reminder: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Cal Reminder 1. Highlight On and Press ACT. 2. Use and to set Calibration Repeat time and press ACT. Set Transmitter ID: Main > Sensor > Edit Settings > Transmitter ID 1. Use and to enter each digit and press ACT. Linking your Meter: Main > Utilities > Connect Devices > Meters > 1. To turn on meter option, highlight On and press ACT. 2. Select Add ID and press ACT. 3. Use and buttons to enter the six ID characters of your meter and press ACT after each number. After you set the final character, the screen will return to the METER ID menu.
