The club has an enviable record for developing new coaches and judges from teenagers and parents involved in the sport from the local community. We call it Teaching the Ultima Way ensuring our legacy continues for the future years. The club has 15 coaches, 10 judges and full supporting welfare officers, first aid officers, fund raising committee etc.
Head Coach Janet Hay The position of Head Coach requires a person who has years of experience of not just coaching but running a club as well. It encompasses far more than simply coaching, it is about a leadership that is supported by our mission statement. Janet Hay competed at a high level for many years before starting her first club 33 years ago whilst in her twenties. The club has taken a journey over the decades that saw it change name until it became Ultima Trampoline Club that we are today. Her experience covers operating a trampoline centre similar to the one outlined here, successfully increasing membership year on year and breaking even. More over, through those decades many of her performers have gone onto become skilled coaches, some of whom are working with us today. It is a testament to her abilities that the club has not just survived but prospered at every level it offers trampolining to.
Coach Bio s Debbie Fountain Her introduction to the sport of gymnastics & trampolining was as a mother to her competing daughter. If you have never performed in the sport then it takes an exceptional coach who can learn to bring on children to the high standards we demand for top level competition and this she does effortlessly. Together with Graham they work hand in hand to ensure all our members competing at every level learn the discipline of training towards high level performance. Under her care children train from the age of 5 on a long term performance program. Debbie instinctively knows how to bring the best out of them with a discipline and care unmatched by anyone else. Whilst qualified at Level 3 she has far more experience and ability than most coaches two levels above her. he is also a regional welfare officer, disability coach, keep fit instructor and always very much in demand by our members. Graham Parker As a former competitor at International level Graham brings an abundance of experience and a wealth of knowledge to every training session. Graham trained under the guidance of the former UK National coach and renowned trampoline expert Jack Kelly. Graham has a proven track record as a coach as well as a competitor, he has developed and nurtured several National and International Champions in recent years. His attention to detail is second to none, coupled with an unbelievable passion for the sport of trampolining and a tremendous work ethic. As a level 5 High Performance Coach Graham is not only qualified to coach at any level, he is often seen on the Trampoline demonstrating moves to his students. Graham also encourages and mentors new coaches and enjoys helping them grow as individuals whilst providing the necessary experience for them to continue to learn and improve. He encourages each individual to be the best they can be and to reach for heights within the sport which would be unachievable without his expert help.

Reaching Out.. A large part of our work in the community is our Reaching Out.. A program offering underprivileged members the same advantages as everyone else within our club. paces are reserved for members on our free or subsidised program. They can train as much as anyone else, compete at the same competitions and wear our club clothing with pride without the financial worry. The program allows us to consult individually with parents to ensure all needs are met discreetly, no one who wishes to participate is left out. Through our continued fund raising we hope to extend further into the community through local organisations and schools offering our facilities to many more people who might never even consider the sport due to possible cost.
A Way Forward. At Ultima an important part of our work is keeping members in the sport for the long term, offering them an avenue to a full time or part time career. Every coach working with us began with just an interest in having a go at the sport as a club member. ome were parents just watching their children perform, some competed at regional or national level. Their interest grew to where we offered supported coach tuition and mentoring then part time employment within the club. Our 2014 coaching team, everyone originated from within the club Many have moved onto University where they run clubs of their own or now work for other local authority sports centres, all belong to our family and will coach with us, the Ultima way in the future as we ensure our growth is organic. Avenues exist within the club for financially supported Coaching and judging courses towards employment.
A Huge Desire Already. For us there has to be an integrity in all our presentations and actions in order to be trusted by the community as a facility that will deliver on all its promises. We have not promoted our intentions until we know we have the required permissions to carry our our project plan. In the meantime we have spoken to just a few of the schools that will be local to us. Abacus for example could not be more positive and supportive, wanting us to hold demos in their assemblies, wanting to use the facility as part of the school curriculum, offering us additional support in many other areas that we will need. Just another example for us to know we have picked the right location, the right town, the right community to serve, we are so encouraged by every response we have had so far..and its still not agreed till the planners stamp our permissions!
