Precyse University ICD-10 Education Tracks The following information will help you understand the Precyse University ICD-10 Educational Tracks. Each impacted population requires specific education to prepare them for the ICD-10 transition. By reading through the details of each bundle and track, you can start to map out the direction(s) that would most benefit your group. All impacted populations should enroll in one of the Tracks with some populations requiring one or more specialty tracks to provide them with the training they need to be effective in their job function. ICD-10 Coding Readiness Assessment Approx. 1.5 Hrs. Our ICD-10 Coding Readiness Assessment is a 80 question, 4 part assessment used to determine a baseline of ICD-10 readiness for the intended populations across the four topics below. Due to the greater level of specificity required for ICD-10 and the fundamental coding concepts, coders and those who interact with codes or documentation will need a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, and core coding principles. This assessment is broken into four parts: ICD-9 Guidelines and Conventions: This part looks at competencies within ICD-9 guidelines and conventions that remain the same and continue into ICD-10. The concept is that weakness in these guidelines that continue into ICD-10 will always compound with the arrival of ICD-10 and will require attention. This is why the last three parts of the assessment deal with this. Medical Terminology: This part looks at the learner s knowledge of medical and clinical root terms, prefixes, and suffixes to decipher medical terminology Anatomy: This part assesses Anatomical structure and system knowledge using redacted medical record excerpts Pathophysiology: This part assesses knowledge in disease and body pathophysiology. Inpatient Coders, Outpatient Coders, ED/Ancillary Coders, Pro-Fee Coders, Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists, Auditors, HIM/Coding Management, Professional Billers
