We keep admission numbers low to allow for a student centred teaching and learning environment and so that all students can gain individual mentoring from our experienced faculty members. Admission and Graduation Requirement We admit 40 50 students a year, with either Arts or Science background. Admissions Local Applicant: Each applicant needs to go through the UM Admission Examination, which requires English I and Mathematics B. Mainland Applicant: Applicants need to go through the Chinese Mainland Admission procedure. Other Applicant: Applicants need to follow the Direct and Transfer admission procedure. Details can be found on the Registry website. Principals Recommended Admission Applicants who are recommended by their schools will be interviewed and admission decisions are made based on individual, academic, scientific and professional student goals and history. Graduation Requirement Graduates have to complete a minimum of 132 credit units, pass all Psychology courses (66 credit units), and achieve a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPS) of 2.0 or above.

Other Information MSS Program in Clinical Psychology The Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology is an intensive, two-year, master-level programme in clinical psychology that educates and trains students in the evidencebased scientist-practitioner tradition. Students are trained in scientific methods, tools and techniques necessary to evaluate and conduct research, and are provided supervised clinical practice that will enable them to apply the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to be a clinical psychologist within changing and diverse Asian and global communities.
Other Information Exchange Program We encourage our students to apply for exchange programmes. Our partner universities include Linnaeus University (Sweden), and Ritsumeikan University (Japan). Our students can also apply for joining other FSH exchange programmes such as Susquehanna University (US). Other Information Open Day Our university s open day offers you an opportunity to get in touch with psychology. You will see interesting demonstrations and experience the fun of studying psychology. Student Symposium Our department has strong commitment to research. Annually we organise a Student Symposium as a showcase for student s achievements in research. At this research day, the final year students present their projects to the public and other interested parties. It is a good chance for me to present the achievement and get a treasured experience. Other Information Student Society The Psychological Society of University of Macau Students Union (PSUMSU) was established in January 2009. The purpose of the society is to promote psychology in the university. We organize activities to increase students awareness of psychological health and to facilitate personal growth. The PSUMSU also provides a platform for interactions and discussion among students who are interested in psychology.
