Limited Intercarpal Joint Arthrodesis (including isolated capitolunate, two-column and four-corner fusions) Fusion of one or more of the carpal joints. One implant per joint placed dorsally. For capitolunate fusions, two implants may be placed side-by-side. 15x15 3
Thumb Carpometacarpal (CMC) Joint Arthrodesis Fusion of the trapezium and first metacarpal bones. Two implants placed radially along the carpometacarpal joint. Implants may be placed palmarly or dorsally. 4
Other Carpometacarpal (CMC) Joint Arthrodesis Fusion of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th metacarpal with its adjacent carpal bone. One or two implants placed dorsally along the carpometacarpal joint. 5
Thumb Metacarpal Extension Osteotomy Fixation of a radially-based closing wedge osteotomy of the base of the first metacarpal. Two implants placed radially and parallel to the first metacarpal bone and perpendicular to the osteotomy. Implants may be placed more palmarly and dorsally at 90-degrees to each other. 6
Thumb Metacarpophalangeal (MCP) Joint Arthrodesis Fusion of the proximal segment of the first phalange to the first metacarpal. Two implants placed radially along the metacarpophalangeal joint. Implants may be placed more palmarly and dorsally at 90-degrees to each other. 7
Radiolunate (RL) or Radioscapholunate (RSL) Joint Arthrodesis Fusion of the radius to the lunate bone (RL) or fusion of the radius to the lunate and scaphoid bones. One to two implants placed dorsally along the radiolunate joint. Repeat for the radioscaphoid joint if performing an RSL fusion. 15x15* 18x15* 18x18x15* 18x18* 20x15* *equivalent SPEEDTITAN implants may be used. 8
Lunotriquetral (LT) Joint Arthrodesis Fusion of the lunate and triquetrum bones. Fixation is achieved with one implant placed dorsally along the lunotriquetral joint. Angulating the implant slightly more distally than proximally prevents dorsal radial impingement. 9
Capitate Shortening Shortening of the capitate performed in the treatment of Kienbock s disease (avaluscular necrosis of the lunate). One implant placed dorsally parallel to the long axis of the capitate and perpendicular to the osteotomy. 10
Scaphoid Fracture Repair Primary/Revision, with or without graft Fixation of transverse fractures along the waist of the scaphoid. Using a volar approach, one implant placed parallel to the long axis of the scaphoid and perpendicular to the fracture. 11
Scaphotrapeziotrapezoid (STT) Arthrodesis Arthrodesis of the scaphoid, trapezium and trapezoid bones. Fixation is achieved with two implants. The first placed radially along the scaphotrapezium joint and the second dorsally along the scaphotrapezoid joint. 12
