Revised the core classes and updated the syllabi. Service to the Field of Education 2008-Present Invited collaborator with Autonomous University of Nicaragua-León in providing special education training. 2005-Present Member of the Nebraska Special Education Advisory Council. 2005-Present Member of the Association of College Educators for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. I participated in a Choice Activity in which I implemented a few recommended practices in class and submitted a report to the PT3 Grant. 2005- Present Member of the Advisory Board for the Nebraska Deaf- Blind Project. I attend quarterly meetings, the summer training institute and provide support as needed. 2005-Present Guest speaker to area schools teaching about American Sign Language and other educational issues related to deaf/hard of hearing, including: Swanson Elementary, Alpha School, Gomez Heritage Elementary, Morton Middle School, Mary Our Queen Elementary. 2006-2007 Ad Hoc Committee with the Nebraska Department of Education. The Committee works to develop guidelines to accompany Rule 24 to add an American Sign Language Subject Endorsement and an American Sign Language Supplemental Endorsement. Service to the Community 1992- Present Volunteer ASL interpreter for the Archdiocese of Omaha. I provide weekly interpreting for services, presentations, and religious education courses. 1998-Present Archdiocesan Committee for Persons with Disabilities. This is a core group of individuals providing resources for disability awareness in parishes and schools across the Omaha Archdiocese. I have planned and coordinated awareness activities.

This is a group of individuals who are deaf-blind and we provide support for community activities on a bi-monthly basis. 2006-Present Volunteer Catechist for Sacred Heart Parish in Omaha. I teach religious education courses to elementary students. 2008-Present Volunteer mentor for students and teachers at Escuela de Sordos in León, Nicaragua 2007-2012 Troop Leader for Girl Scout Troop 43430 in Omaha. 2005-2006 Taught sign language and deaf/hard of hearing culture to Girl Scout Troop 3434 1992-1994 Special Olympics Coach for participants with multiple disabilities.
