ABOUT SARRC Established in 1997, Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) is an internationally recognized nonprofit that conducts innovative research, provides evidence-based practices, disseminates effective training and builds inclusive communities for individuals with autism and their families. We are dedicated to autism research, education, evidence-based treatment, and community outreach. ANNUAL COMMUNITY BREAKFAST SARRC s Annual Community Breakfast is one of the Valley s premier outreach and fundraising events. Funds raised during this signature SARRC event go directly back to our innovative programs, services and research initiatives. Guests of our Annual Community Breakfast experience a moving, memorable portrait of SARRC s impact on individuals with autism and family s served through our programs and services. Each year, the event draws nearly 2,000 community and business leaders, sponsors, parents, volunteers and public officials and has grown to be one of the largest and most anticipated charity events in Arizona.
YOUR INVESTMENT Why Support Autism? Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is the fastest growing developmental disorder, affecting 1 in 68 children born in the U.S. occuring in all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Lifetime services for one individual with ASD require $3.2 million, impacting families and society with staggering costs. Approximately 80 percent of individuals with ASD are under 22, and society is unprepared to house, employ and provide support services for the 500,000 who will enter adulthood over the next 10 years. During the Annual Community Breakfast fundraising event, guests are encouraged to make a donation, that directly supports SARRC s mission of advancing research and providing a lifetime of support for individuals with ASD and their families. A one-of-a-kind Annual Community Breakfast sponsorship is a testament to your company s commitment to SARRC s mission. We offer a variety of sponsorship levels that best fit your goals. Sponsorship funds underwrite the cost of this important fundraising event. If your company is interested in hosting a table (10 guests), please send your guests names to sarrcbreakfast@autismcenter.org. Through the generosity of our corporate partners in 2017, SARRC was able to: EDUCATE & TRAIN 5,000 community members SERVE 85 children through JumpStart SCREEN 35,000 children through our Pediatric and Elementary School Screening Networks to lower the age of au sm diagnosis NEARLY 1,000 children, teens & adults with ASD served through clinical and research programs PREPARE 100 children for kindergarten through our inclusive preschool NEARLY 75% of SARRC s adult clients secured and maintained community employment
