Ronald Walter Barker, LCSW Candidate, LAC 2706 Dublin St, Missoula, MT 59808 (406) 880-3275 ronbarker83@gmail.com I completed my education in Social Work and Chemical Dependency/Addiction Counseling at the University of Montana and received my degree in December 2013. In May 2016, I received my Master s Degree from Case Western Reserve University with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor for the State of Montana; obtaining my license in January of 2015. Currently, I am pursuing my 3,000 hours to receive my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am employed through the Missoula Assessment and Sanction Center (MASC). My purpose at MASC is to determine the most appropriate placement for offenders suffering from addiction and or mental health through precise, accurate and impartial assessments. My assessments allow inmates to be screened for community corrections programs rather than sending them directly to prison. All offenders committed to the Department of Corrections are given mental health, chemical dependency and sex offender assessments as needed. Offenders may be placed in treatment programming while at MASC before being considered for placement in a community program. While at MASC I facilitate three groups Social Values, Responsible Thinking, and Substance Use. I currently volunteer my time by serving on the Board of Directors for the Poverello Center, a community homeless shelter which serves Western Montana s transient population and as a representative for the Missoula County Co-Occurring and Veteran Treatment Court. I am also a lifetime member of Missoula Lodge #13 A.F & A.M. I also hold membership in the Montana Scottish Rite. I would like the opportunity to interview with you. You can reach me by phone at (406) 880-3275 or by email at ronbarker83@gmail.com. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Ronald W. Barker, LCSW Candidate, LAC
