Criteria for Therapy Discontinuation 1 Negative cultures for 48 hours Afebrile for 24 hours Evidence of marrow recovery (increase in ANC to >1000 cells/µl) It is acceptable to send an afebrile patient home for marrow recovery if the patient was a low risk patient 1.
