The EZT 3012 induction loop The EZT 3012 induction loop is an accessory for Sennheiser infrared and RF receivers as well as for conference units of a conference system. The EZT 3012 inductively couples the audio signal from the receiver/conference unit to hearing aids. Using the volume control on the receiver the sound may be easily adjusted to suit an individual user s hearing. Preparing the EZT 3012 for use CAUTION! Danger due to magnetic fields! If you connect the EZT 3012 to devices that are not designed for use with the induction loop, a magnetic field can be generated which could cause dangerous interference with cardiac pacemakers and implanted defibrillators. Connect the induction loop only to Sennheiser devices. Connecting the induction loop Connect the 3.5 mm jack plug of the induction loop to the socket on your receiver or to the corresponding audio output of your conference unit. 3
Set your hearing aid to the T-position. If your hearing aid has no T-position, please contact your hearing aid acoustician. For alternative connection possibilities to your hearing aid as well as the connection to cochlea implants, please contact your hearing aid acoustician. Wearing a receiver Depending on the receiver used, you require a lanyard or a clip (see Accessories on page 6) in addition to the EZT 3012 induction loop. Attach the optional lanyard or the clip to your RI 830 S or RR 840 S receiver. If you have any questions, please contact your Sennheiser partner. 4
Putting the EZT 3012 into operation CAUTION! Hearing damage due to high volumes! Listening at high volume levels for long periods can lead to permanent hearing defects. Before using the receiver or the conference unit, set the volume to a low value. Do not continuously expose yourself to high volumes. Place the induction loop around your neck, with the Sennheiser logo facing away from your body. Switch your audio source on. Switch the receiver or the conference unit on. Cleaning the EZT 3012 Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the induction loop. 5
