Breast Lift (Mastopexy) is a procedure that tightens firms and lifts the breasts. You will be marked before surgery and given a chance to ask any questions. Breast Lift surgery is more complex than Breast Augmentation surgery, but is usually completed in two hours or less. After the incisions are made, the underlying breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to improve breast contour and firmness. The nipple and areola are then re-positioned to a natural, more youthful height. In general, the architecture of the native breast (glands, ducts and nipple) should not be disturbed and should not affect your ability to breast feed. However, your specific case should be discussed at your consultation. Can I wear a brazier afterwards? Yes. You will be placed in a support wrap after surgery. You can wear a soft support bra without wire after your first post-operative appointment and until your incisions are healed. After that, any bra is acceptable.
