Course Description This symposium will serve as an educational forum for the Southern California physician community for the scientific exchange of information regarding the diagnosis and treatment of the most prevalent liver diseases. Course Objectives At the conclusion of this course, participants should be better able to: Discuss the management of patients with hepatitis C Explain the medical and surgical options for patients with NASH and the metabolic syndrome Describe updates in the medical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma Review the radiologic diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma Examine surveillance for hepatocellular carcinoma and the different treatment modalities Identify the downstaging modalities in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma being considered for liver transplantation
