About the Caribbean Association for Rheumatology The newly formed Caribbean Association for Rheumatology is an organization of physicians that aims to advance rheumatology through education, research and advocacy and aims to foster excellence in the care of people with arthritis and musculoskeletal diseases. To that end, the annual conference meeting is scheduled to be held in Barbados May 15 th and 16th 2015 and will include participants and distinguished speakers from the English-speaking Caribbean, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and the United States. Meeting description This meeting is designed to offer an update on the management of rheumatic diseases especially as they relate to persons of African origin and ethnic minorities. Participants also network for collaborative research and consensus opinions. There is also the unique opportunity for participants to get expert opinions on challenging cases. The meeting includes didactic lectures, panel discussions, case presentations, and Q and A. Target audience This meeting is intended for all health professionals, educators and researchers, and others interested in rheumatologic disease.
