Lurie Children s Hospital of Chicago Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University Chicago, IL Board Certification: 2010 Dr. Swaroop is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, assistant professor specializing in pediatric orthopaedics at the Ann & Robert H Lurie Children s Hospital of Chicago. She completed her orthopaedic residency at Northwestern University followed by a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at Rady Children s Hospital San Diego. Since 2008, she has been faculty of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Achor, MD University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Memorial Hermann - TMC Houston, TX Dr. Achor is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. In addition, he is the Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship program at the Medical School and Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Achor specializes in orthopedic trauma with an emphasis on severe musculoskeletal injuries of the pelvis, hip, knee, and ankle, as well as non-unions and complications of fractures. Dr. Achor is active in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows at the Medical School and at national conferences. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Westchester Country Medical Center and his fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is an active member of many professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Orthopedic Trauma Association and AO Trauma North America. Dr. Achor has lived and worked in Houston since completing his training, where he has become one of the busiest orthopedic trauma surgeons in the country.

Eric M. Bluman, MD, PhD Brigham and Women s Hospital Chestnut Hill, MA Board Certification: 2007 Eric M. Bluman, MD, PhD, Co-Investigator, Orthopedic Surgery, specializes in complex reconstructive surgery of the lower extremity. He is the Medical Director of the Brigham Foot and Ankle Center and is fellowship trained in orthopedic traumatology and orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. His research background is in cellular and molecular immunology and currently centers on allograft transplantation of musculoskeletal tissues for reconstruction of the lower extremity, including tendon, ligament, bone, and cartilage. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital and then completed fellowships at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital and Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy. Jeffrey J. Brooks, MD OSSM (Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine) New Canaan, CT Board Certification: 2008 After orthopaedic residency at Brown University, Dr. Brooks completed two fellowships a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at Brown followed by the prestigious Eaton-Littler Fellowship in Hand, Microvascular and Upper Extremity Fellowship at St. Luke s-roosevelt/columbia in New York City. Dr. Brooks also completed additional training in pediatric hand surgery at the Texas Scottish Rite Children s Hospital. He has cared for the Providence Bruins hockey team, The Brown University varsity football team and the New York Philharmonic Dr. Brooks has also authored scientific articles on carpal tunnel surgery biomechanics, hand and wrist arthritis, and distal radius (wrist) fractures, and he has presented lectures from a regional to international level on aspects of hand surgery and orthopaedic trauma. Dr. Brooks was the first surgeon in Stamford to perform complex pelvic fracture surgery and was also the first surgeon in Stamford to offer endoscopic carpal tunnel release. Dr. Brooks has been the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Stamford Hospital from 2010 to 2016. Yasmin Dhar, MD Specialty Orthopaedics Harrison, NY Dr. Yasmin Dhar is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. She completed her residency at Westchester Medical Center, a Level-1 Trauma center, and her fellowship at University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dhar has advanced training in both arthroscopic and open procedures of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee joints, including shoulder arthroplasty and cartilage restoration procedures. She is the Medical Director and team physician for a number of regional high schools and colleges. She currently serves as the Chief of Sports Medicine at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, and Associate Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, an Assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York Medical College, and an affiliate physician for the LPGA tour.

Mark M. Dolan, MD Hope Orthopedics of Oregon Salem, OR Dr. Dolan specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery, hip resurfacing, and hip arthroscopy/hip preservation surgery. He completed his residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York where he gained advanced training in hip and knee replacement surgery, hip resurfacing, and revision total joint surgery. Following this year long fellowship, he stayed at the Hospital for Special Surgery to obtain additional experience in providing care for young adults with hip pain. This included additional study in hip arthroscopy and hip preservation surgery. Dr. Dolan has a specific interest in hip disorders and strives to provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from hip pain. Hamid Hassanzadeh, MD University of Virginia Charlottesville, VA Board Certification: 2016 After completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Hassanzadeh underwent fellowship training in Spine Surgery at Rush University Medical Center and fellowship training in Pediatric Spine Surgery at Shriner Hospital in Chicago. His clinical interests and expertise include complex spinal deformity and minimal invasive spine surgery. Along with his clinical interests, he is actively involved with research encompassing functional outcome in adult deformity, minimally invasive and motion preservations spine surgery and spine biomechanics. He has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and has been invited to speak nationally and internationally. He was awarded the prestigious HIBBS Award for his research at the Scoliosis Research Society. Justin M. LaReau, MD Hinsdale Orthopaedics Hinsdale, IL Dr. LaReau specializes in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee. While completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. LaReau served as Chief Resident and received the Resident Research Award. His subspecialty training includes a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at New England Baptist Hospital and an additional fellowship in hip preservation surgery at the Children's Hospital of Boston. Dr. LaReau possesses a passion for orthopaedic research and humanitarian outreach. His research in orthopaedic trauma, pediatric orthopaedics, and joint replacement surgery has been presented at national meetings. Dr. LaReau is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Ahmad Nassr, MD Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN Board Certification: 2009 Dr. Nassr completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center and then his fellowship in Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has several areas of research interest, including the identification and prevention of complications related to cervical spinal surgery, the genetic basis of adjacent level disk degeneration, and the optimization of treatment for patients with osteopenia and osteoporosis undergoing spinal surgery.

Nirav K. Pandya, MD UCSF Benioff Children s Hospital Oakland, CA Board Certification: 2013 Dr. Pandya is currently the Director of Pediatric Sports Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, PA and his fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at Rady Children s Hospital San Diego, CA. Dr. Pandya's areas of interest include pediatric sports medicine, arthroscopy, pediatric trauma, and disorders of the hip as well as general pediatric orthopaedics. Dr. Pandya has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters, and has spoken at several national conferences. He is a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at UCSF and director of pediatric sports medicine at Children's Hospital Oakland. Apurva Shah, MD, MBA Children s Hospital of Philadelphia Philadelphia, PA Board Certification: 2014 Dr. Shah is an orthopaedic surgeon and a specialist in treating hand and upper extremity disorders. He is one of a small group of surgeons in the country who perform complex reconstructive surgery for infants and children with brachial plexus birth palsy. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the Harvard Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Shah pursued advanced training in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery and completed a second fellowship at Boston Children s Hospital. Dr. Shah is an attending physician with CHOP s Hand and Arm Disorders Program and Brachial Plexus Program. These programs care for children with a diverse set of hand and upper limb conditions. Dr. Shah has been recognized as a "Young Leader" by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of several multicenter research networks including the Treatment and Outcomes of Brachial Plexus Injuries (TOBI) study group. He has received several grants for hand and upper extremity research including funding from the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF). He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles, reviews and textbook chapters. Vijay B. Thangamani, MD DuPage Medical Group Elmhurst, IL Dr. Thangamani completed his residency at Northwestern University Medical Center in Illinois and his fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital-Chestnut Hill in Massachusetts. His work is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. As one of the former team physicians for the Boston Celtics and Tufts University, as well as a former student athletic trainer at the University of Notre Dame, he has a special interest in sports and activity related injuries and conditions. His educational experiences enable him to utilize proven, state-of-the-art treatments and procedures that can restore mobility and help patients return to an active lifestyle. This includes ACL reconstruction, hip arthroscopy with labral repair, rotator cuff repair, and shoulder stabilization surgery.

David Wellman, MD Hospital for Special Surgery New York, NY Board Certification: 2013 Dr. David S. Wellman is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the care of fractures and post-traumatic reconstruction. Dr. Wellman holds appointments at both Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he is an Assistant Professor at the Weill Cornell Medical College. He has particular interests in articular fractures (bone breaks near major joints), injuries to the pelvis and acetabulum, and fracture non-union and mal-union. These interests also motivate his research work outside the operating room. Dr. Wellman graduated cum laude from Duke University with a degree in Chemistry. He then completed medical school at the University of North Carolina, where he graduated with distinction and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He went on to complete a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, where he served as Chief Resident for the department. During his time at Northwestern, he received department awards for his teaching and his attention to patient care. Following residency, Dr. Wellman completed a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at Hospital for Special Surgery. After completing his training at HSS, Dr. Wellman traveled to Germany and Switzerland for further surgical training in the care of trauma patients and pelvic reconstruction. Daniel Zelazny, MD University Orthopaedics Stamford, CT Board Certification: 2004 Dr. Daniel Zelazny has over 15 years of experience caring for musculoskeletal conditions. Board certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine, he specializes in caring for sports injuries as well as orthopedic trauma. At Stamford Hospital, Dr. Zelazny serves as chief of the orthopedic trauma division and is on the hospital s sports medicine subcommittee. He is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Zelazny is currently the head team physician for the NCAA Division 1 Marist College Red Foxes located in nearby New York state. Dr. Zelazny serves as team physician for multiple high schools in the area, including Stamford High School for the past 15 years. He enjoys helping to prevent and treating injuries in young athletes, aims to provide quick, effective care, and is committed to helping his patients regain function even after experiencing serious trauma. Dr. Zelazny is a Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, helping to train surgeons in the latest techniques in arthroscopic surgery. He has been past Chair of this course and remains the most senior member of its faculty. Dr. Zelazny is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at nearby New York Medical College, where he also serves as an advisory dean in student affairs. He is the associate program director for the New York Medical College Orthopedic Residency program.
