Chapter Presidents and Advisrs, The Greek Life Chapter Excellence Prgram was created t prvide a standard fr achievement and recgnitin by which all chapters shuld strive t emulate. The gals f the Chapter Excellence Prgram nt nly supprt but als incrprate the ideals and gals f the individual chapters: schlarship, persnal develpment, leadership, and service. This prgram will assist the chapters in achieving their highest award frm their Inter/natinal rganizatins. This year we are pleased t annunce the fllwing awards that are available: Chapter Excellence Levels f Achievement (Gld, Silver and Brnze) - based n pints earned in twenty categries (see page 4) Chapter f the Year (ne in each Cuncil) Areas f Excellence (based n pints earned in designated categries) - Academic Achievement and Schlarship -Leadership - Prgramming and Member Develpment -Chapter Operatins -Service and Philanthrpy -Husing Operatins (if applicable) Greek Man and Wman f the Year Gate and Key & Delphi Emerging Leader Awards (presented by Order f Omega) Outstanding Fraternity/Srrity Advisr f the Year (One per cuncil) Greek Unity Award Outstanding Huse Manager (selected by staff wrking with GW Greek Husing) Please return cmpleted awards packets t the Greek Life Office. Things t Keep in Mind The timeline fr these awards is 2014. All events and infrmatin utlined in this packet must have taken place during 2014 The DEADLINE t submit yur packet is Mnday, January 26, 2015 by 5:00 pm. Yur packet shuld be submitted electrnically t the Greek Life ffice. There will be NO EXTENSIONS given! All individual student nminees must be in gd standing with his/her chapter and the University. A maximum f ne fraternity man and ne srrity wmen will be chsen fr Man and Wmen f the Year Awards Make sure t include all requested infrmatin, and any additinal infrmatin yu deem necessary fr each award such as pictures, flyers, letters, etc. This additin infrmatin assists the evaluatrs in determined pints awarded in each categry. The judges fr individual awards will be cmprised f campus and rganizatin staff and vlunteers. The judges will review the chapter s Annual Chapter Review and Award Packet based upn the criteria utlined in the fllwing pages. Judges reserve the right t nt select a recipient based n the quality f the submissins. Judges fr chapter standings and awards will be cmprised f Inter/Natinal current r past staff and vlunteers as well as campus based prfessinals frm ther institutins. If yu wuld like t review the awards packet r prcess, please email a Greek Life staff member. The awards fr Greek Man f the Year, Greek Wman f the Year, and Chapters f the Year will be annunced at the GW Excellence Awards ceremny n April 15, 2015. The finalists fr each f these awards will be named and recgnized at the Greek Night f Achievement n April 13, 2015. All nminees will be invited t attend the GW Excellence Awards. All applicatins must include a letter authenticating the infrmatin in the applicatin frm bth the chapter president and chapter advisr. The Chapter Award submissin shuld be ONE DOCUMENT. This dcument shuld include all answers and evidence and be rganized in such a way that it is fluent and easy fr the award Judges t grade. Chapter Excellence Levels f Achievement Upn the cmpletin f the scring and evaluatin prcess, chapters with the highest scres will be recgnized at the Gld, Silver, r Brnze level in each area and verall. A scre f 90%-100% will be cnsidered a Gld Standard, a scre f 80%-89.99% will be cnsidered a Silver Standard, and a scre f 70%-79.99% will be cnsidered a Brnze Standard. The tp scring chapter in each cuncil will additinally be recgnized as Chapter f the Year, prvided they als achieved Gld Level recgnitin. The Chapter f the Year will be annunced at the GW Excellence Awards prgram n April 15, 2015. Gld Level chapters will be named as finalists fr Chapter f the Year. Chapters will be scred based n applicatin materials in the fllwing five/six categries. Details abut the criteria and expected dcumentatin can be fund n the fllwing pages.
