We work with children and young people aged between 4-18 years old who live in Gateshead. What do we do? We aim to have a positive effect on the mental health and emotional wellbeing of those children and young people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of developing emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties. We work closely with schools, parents, carers and other professionals so that we can collaboratively support children and young people aged 4-18yrs. We offer preventative and early intervention strategies including consultation, liaison, assessment and short term individual, group, and family work. We promote resilience against the development of mental health problems at an early stage so that any further behavioural, emotional or psychological distress is prevented or minimised. 2
