Page 2 Description The Global Tribology Summit was established to bring together experts and thought leaders from clinical practice, research, and academia to share best practice, challenge current thinking, and discuss innovation in orthopaedic tribology. The aim of this meeting is to provide a platform for building insight and sharing expertise in the area of orthopaedic tribology to further improve outcomes for patients. A faculty of global experts will review the latest research and evidence and share their experience and expertise. The meeting will provide an update on the current thinking behind advanced bearing solutions through a combination of lectures, panel discussion and free paper sessions. Learning objectives Understand the concepts of tribology Analyse and compare the different bearing options for Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) and Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) Interpret and apply the latest study outcomes relating to advanced bearings and their application to improving patient outcomes Share experience and hear different solutions to overcome challenges Participant profile Opinion leaders in bearings and tribology Orthopaedic Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) specialized in THA and TKA Medical Engineers Products and technologies VERILAST OXINIUM BIOLOX * ODH BHR (Advanced) bearings in general Trademark of Smith & Nephew *registered trademark of Ceramtec
