ENDOMORPH Have curvy body and large bones, and can be usually identified by their soft and round bodies. Have hips that are wider than shoulders Have limbs that are shorter in relation to trunk A slow metabolism and a capacity for high fat storage causes easier weight gain and can struggle to maintain normal weight Muscles can be very underdeveloped but can easily puts on muscle through strength training Though can tire easily, can develop good endurance and cardio strength with training
ECTOMORPH A delicate build with small bones and joints. Can be identified as skinny with low fat and muscle mass Have narrow hips and shoulders which are the same width. Body shape is angular with little or no curves - described as pencil or ruler Long limbs in comparison to trunk Hyperactive with a fast metabolism so seem to eat whatever they want. Can eat often in small amounts as gets full quickly. Has difficulty building muscle and gaining weight Can put weight on when gets older due to poor diet and exercise habits when younger
MESOMORPH Dense muscle with strong bones and well defined broad shoulders Wide shoulders with a small waist can be described as T-Shape Usually short waisted which is toned and taut Low body fat stored evenly over body Physically strong, high energy and a fast metabolism Able to build muscle and burn fat easily, and can therefore maintain healthy weight range easily. Can have large appetite when exercising so must be careful when less active over a period of time.

How to Measure your client Depending on treatment, measurements might be taken only for a certain area Client to stand with feet shoulder width apart and facing forward, arms to be relaxed at the sides. Measure from the ground to desired point. Record this measurement. - A number of measurements from ground around the body circumference may be needed to get accurate line. Measure around the circumference of the body part. Record this measurement. Upper limbs: take initial measurement from elbow to desired point and then measure circumference.
