Team Approach to Breast Imaging Conference Provides Category A credits, Nursing credits and 15.0 AMP PRA Category 1 Credit(s) Bring the team, one free technologist registration with every Radiologist registration (must register together) September 12-13, 2014 in Duluth, MN the Inn on Lake Superior Faculty Gilda Cardeñosa, MS, MD, FACR Michael Linver, MD, FACR

About this Conference We face many challenges in breast imaging today. Communication among all the parties involved - the technologist, the radiologist and the patient - is one of the most critical, if we are to succeed in our goal of finding early breast cancer. This conference provides a template for how we can all do a better job in communicating, in medical imaging and in detecting early breast cancer. Those of us in breast imaging have been given a great gift, the ability to extend and improve women s lives through early breast cancer detection. We must nurture and cherish this gift by improving our skills, best done through a dedicated high-energy conference such as this. By so doing, we give real meaning to our lives and to those of the patients we serve. We can ask for no greater gift in life. Who Should Attend This program is intended for all radiologists, mammographers and x-ray technologists with a special interest in Breast Imaging. Faculty Michael Linver, M.D., F.A.C.R. Dr. Linver is Director of Mammography for X-Ray Associates of New Mexico, P.C., in Albuquerque, and Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Linver is a busy lecturer on mammography, having presented over 700 lectures throughout the United States and 16 countries around the world. He is the author of over 50 published articles and chapters of textbooks on mammography, and is a strong political proponent of quality mammography. Toward this end, he spearheaded the successful campaign to enact mandated quality mammography screening legislation in New Mexico in 1990, and served on the original National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee to the FDA under MQSA from 1994 to 1997. He helped author the A.H.C.P.R. document, Quality Determinants of Mammography, and co-chaired the American Cancer Society s consensus conference in Chicago on screening mammography guidelines for pre-menopausal women in 1997. Gilda Cardeñosa, MS, MD, FACR Dr. Cardeñosa is the Veronica Donovan Sweeney Professor of Breast Imaging and the Director of Breast Imaging for Radiology as part of the multidisciplinary Breast Health Center at Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.
