A. in Psychology and Biblical Studies, 2004 Magna cum laude Jerusalem University College, Jerusalem, Israel Independent Study in Psychology, 2003 Project: Palestinian women and locus of control during the 2 nd intifada (uprising) RESEARCH INTERESTS My long-term research goal is to identify the brain and genetic mechanisms involved in the development of both normal and impaired socio-emotional functioning. In particular, I am interested in understanding the genetic and epigenetic factors influencing brain function and structure in developmental psychopathology, such as autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, and depression. For example, I have been examining how the serotonin transporter-linked promoter region gene affects brain activation patterns in the amygdala and the default network in youth with autism spectrum disorders.
