Any high risk unit is processed prior to repair in a sonic cleaner, where it receives an extensive clean, using ammonia. 2. All Make Repair Department Order entry, where the box number, customer and aid details are entered. Labels containing this information are printed off and placed on the paperwork and one on the outer box. Holding Shelf - this is where the boxes are placed and wait in turn, to be analysed. If the aids has not been processed through the sonic cleaner, then it is cleaned thoroughly at this point using IPA (Isopropyl alcohol). A technician carries out an analysis and trouble shooting. A new case and ear hook are replaced % of the time. Battery drawers, volume controls, microphones, receivers and amplifiers are replaced where necessary. If the battery drawer is replaced the serial number will be attached to the inside of the battery drawer on the hearing aid casing. 3. Quality Control Department Passed to quality control where aid is listened to and electro acoustically tested to check against specification. Final Quality Control. Coding and amending ~ Actions taken are entered into the system to ensure a full aid history. 4. Shipping Department Aid is double checked to ensure the serial number, patient details and shipping location is correct before invoicing.
